reposting this bc I posted it on the September thread...

I don't know if this is the right forum thread for this but I might as well try.

I'm doing AoS with concurrent filling, I sent in my AoS package with I-485, I-130, affidavit of support, travel parole and work permit on 10/31/2017 to the Chicago lockbox though USPS.

I don't know if my process is gonna be slower compared with the K-1 visa who already have their petition approved or the ones doing consular processing, or if this is the right post.

Anyways, I guess I'm posting in this one because I sent it so late (I procrastinated so much...my mother-in-law had to help me), but so far I haven't got an update. My package also was delayed and it got to the Chicago lockbox on November 5th...talk about a delay.

I sent it with return receipt but so far haven't heard of any news from the mail or don't know yet if they cashed the check, so I don't know when I'm gonna get the NOA texts.

anyways if anyone's package was received at the Chicago lockbox around the same date as me, keep me posted!

Hey visitor, according to the visa journey database it takes an average of 68 days after biometrics to get your EAD :)

I do have a social security number but I didn't really look at the screen when they where taking my fingerprint. I did notice that none of the notice of action letters and my biometrics appointment letter had my SSN on it, just my alien number. Why do you ask though?

Last 3 months history shows 74 days?

Very FEW (exceptional cases with financial issues or job offers) get their EAD expedited and even with that it takes more than that. Browse previous months (August, July, June etc) people still waiting their EAD. Sorry just want to share some info not discourage.

I think it might depend on the state but I did some research and for Ohio, I think I can get it with the NOA and proof of Ohio residence.

Texas?

No. EAD and AP are generally all processed at the NBC. Look at your NOA1 for these forms and at the bottom left corner you will see the address.

Speaking about EAD/AP. The Uscis processing times chart has been updated an its showing that às of Sep 30 they were processing i131 from sept 8th and i765 from sept 15th. THERE IS HOPE!

p.s. Maybe they put the wrong date.

We don't have ours as well and USCIS received ours last October 31. Most members on this thread told me that notifications usually take around 2-4 weeks, I guess it's true since there are still some people on this thread who doesn't have their notifications including mine.

I hope they did not put wrong dates for both EAD and AP.

If that were not a mistake, I would give them a thumb up.

BTW, I have mailed our reply to USCIS's RFIE back using USPS priority mail with flat rate.

Here is some lesson that I learned:

I ordered the priority envelop and postage online thinking that there would be a tracking label. No, there is not. I had order a label separately!

Later I ordered some labels for tracking purposes, but it has been a few days and they still had not arrived.

My reply to USCIS was ready for a few days. After talking to our postmaster, I was convinced that it should be all right with or without the tracking label. So I mailed it without label.

Hopefully USCIS will updated the online tracker when they receive my reply!
