Yes, I took the letter. They need it to scan the barcodes and also they stamp and sign it before returning it to me.

Just got a callback from a USCIS tier 2 officer regarding my biometrics appointment letter. Apparently i already have an appointment for next week but still haven't received my letter in the mail. They made a mistake in my address and put apt. 58 instead of 58th avenue. Hopefully i wouldn't have a  similar problem receiving my mails from them in the future! 

 

That's so weird because i got all my i797c notices in less than 7 days from them receiving my application... :huh:

 

If i still don't get my letter in the mail by friday they will fax it to me. Now the problem is I don't have a fax number :(

January 16, 2022 - Naturalization application received

It is very wierd. Did you update your address with them on the phone?

Well....I dont think it will be a big deal, just take a look at what they want and send it to them. From what I have seen, people dont translate birth certificates, sometimes they dont send the marriage certificate etc....you will be fine.

Just thought that we have done a lot of research and just cannot believe what we have missed. The birth certificate was translated by the same issuing authority and marriage certificate is the certified copy from the county...

It just happened the same to us, my husband receiven an email and 4 text messages haha they are requesting evidence from us to, I wonder why he received the email and not me (Im the applicant, he’s the petitioner) oh well we will just wait for the hard copy to see what they need from us 😣

When you receive your NOA (I797) it will provide you with your case number. You can use that number to track it on the USCIS website and also there are apps you can use to alert you when there is an update, like Case Tracker. 

 

P.S. there are not so many updates during the process.

You will receive your NOA1 in a few days....just relax, whats some netflix and your NOA1 will come with your case number so that you can use and track on USCIS web site.

Great news, we have our interview date set, it's on December 5th! It has been a blessing because my wife is scheduled for the birth of our baby on December 6th via C-section, we can't believe the timing of her AOS, less then 90 days from mailing packet to interview! Hope everyone else is getting interview appointments or seeing progress. I think it really depends on where you live and how busy your local USCIS office is, we are in a smaller city in Washington State. Looks as though we won't even need the AP we filed  and haven't even heard anything from it. My guess is that it isn't even necessary at this point since interview date is so soon, my wife doesn't plan on going anywhere soon anyways, haha.
