I had my interview at the San Francisco office last Friday (April 12th).

The agent didn’t ask us anything about our relationship because we have a baby.

She just wanted to see all my I20s from school (and my lawyer told me to bring just the last one but I had almost all of them), and then some bills/credit card statements.

I got approved on the spot, but the status changed Tuesday morning!

Now I’m waiting to get my green card! It has been shipped yesterday 🙂

10 years?

Anyone in this forum applied in October of 2017 and their local office is in New York? Did they schedule an interview yet? I have been waiting for an interview since March of 2018.

Congrats! When did they send you the notice of interview? I have the same date and it's such a pain going through NY office. Also, did you get an update on their website "waiting to schedule an interview"?

Thank you! :) Status changed March 26th. She is filing from Brooklyn. On that date, the USCIS website went from "Waiting to schedule an interview" to "Interview scheduled".

Hoping they process yours soon!

I believe ours went from "fingerprint fee received" to "waiting to schedule an interview" in my.uscis.gov sometime in March 2018 as well. The case status on egov.uscis.gov never updated to "waiting to schedule an interview", but did update to "Interview Scheduled" at the same time as the (seemingly more reliable) my.uscis.gov site.

Interview was today at Oakland Park, FL field office. Arrived 30 mins before interview time (10am). Got called in by the IO a few minutes after we arrived. We took an oath/swore us in, then explained the consequences about presenting false documents and making false statements. Then he gave us an INA (Immigration and Nationality Act) 216 notice explaining that upon the approval the I-485, I will be given a conditional green card, then he made us sign the notice, he witnessed it. Then he gave us copy of the notice.

First part of the interview, he verified addresses and asked us to present the originals of the birth certificates and passports of my husband and I. Then he proceeded into questions:

What does my husband do for a living?

Which legal area does my husband practice in?

(To my husband) am I employed? where do I work?

What's the name of my mother in law? my husband was also asked this question

Their occupation

Asked my husband if my mother has a US visa

He asked me the name of the colleges my husband attended

Asked my husband how many siblings do I have, if he has met any of them, their names

Timeline of our relationship....how did we meet, where was our first date, when we decided to get married.

It was a good interview, my husband is the real mvp lol. But anyways he told us he will double check our information and then should receive an update in a couple days. Then 4 hours later I received an update "Case was Approved" for both the I-485 AND I-130 :)

Thanks for sharing your interview details!

Did you have to retake the medical exam for the interview? I got a letter from the USCIS with some instructions regarding that exam. It said that the exam is valid for two years of filing if the filing date was no more than 60 days before filing for the I-485.

I didn't submit the medical at the same time as the I-130/I-485/I-765 in October 2017. I received a courtesy letter from the USCIS  to bring it to the interview about a month after submitting the documents. As such, I did it right before the interview and presented it to the IO in a sealed envelope.
