I had my biometrics done in November too but I wasn’t asked to redo them. Yesterday I received the notice in the mail about being approved and the notice mentioned that I might be asked to redo biometrics though (so I assume some people are asked to redo them?)

Then at midnight sharp my status changed to “card was mailed to me”. I haven’t gotten a notice from informed delivery yet that priority mail is coming my way but since it’s Labor Day on Monday I’m assuming I’ll receive it by Friday next week.

I have heard it’s pretty inconsistent how quickly you receive the GC (like EAD) 1-2 weeks after Interview seems normal.

great! I was in Hartford too this morning. My appointment was at 10 am. The officer was very friendly; we spent most of the time talking about other stuff than immigration. Didn't ask for photos. We were asked about how and where we met. The other questions were in the i485 form, went through it all and updated some parameters and that was it. My fingerprints were checked and I did not have any issue with my biometrics ( they were done in November as well). We were told that our file is in order and we will be recommended for approval. I hope it's nothing major and that you will be set soon

I'm heading into Hartford on the 12th. It's good to hear they're friendly about it.

I keep getting worried they'll ask obscure questions about relatives lol, but it sounds like they simply want to update and confirm which is great!

I can't wait to have it done.

PD: Sept 1 2017, got RFE once, so i sort of consider myself Oct filer as well.

Have interview on Sept 11th, 2018 in NYC. The interview was super quick, less than 20 mins. The officer told me they have to complete certain process, if nothing goes wrong, I should expect the card within 30 days.

I had a successful interview this morning! 😁

The Hartford CT location was nice; easy to find the main entrance and everything was on the main floor. check-in and the interview were calm and casual. Despite my husband coming along, he never said a word other than to agree with me lol. It was mostly confirming dates and names were all correctly filled out on the application (checked things off as I answered). From there he went through all of the "have you ever committed terrorism, child pornography, prostitution, smuggled drugs" etc, which I had to curtail a giggle at a few of them. After that he went into a few questions on how often Ive been to the US and when, which was somewhat tough. I lived near a border city and have probably been in the US 2-3 times a year since I was little, so I roughly estimated 50 but said it could be higher. I explained I have a Nexus card (Canadian global entry) and he happily looked up that info which seemed to satisfy some of the entries. And lastly after confirming my medical was still valid, he explained when to expect my greencard. Woot.

He even said since we went the I-129F/K-1 route that I wouldn't need a conditional greencard and would be receiving the 10 year one...which is a plus!

Yay, so glad it's done...until I decide to naturalise (which he said could be done between 3-5 years from now)!

Err
This is definitely not accurate.
You only get a 10 year one if you have been married for at least 2 years when you go for AOS interview- has nothing to do with what route u used to get GC.

Based on ur timeline, You married September 2017 - so you're only 1 year into marriage.
Someone else had an issue with this on VJ.
I suggest you look into this and when you get the card, if it does say 10 years, get that fixed because that's not correct- and it may impact your process down the line for citizenship.

but- congratulations on ur approval nonetheless!
