How do you bring I-9? That was only for employer database use.

After you fill up the i-9 for the job on-boarding, you have option to print it after submission. I’m bringing the i-9 submission form with my reference number on it.

Interview letter this week in the mail?

Not only I-765 did not update but I never got my EAD

It could take a month or more before your interview is actually scheduled. Once we got this notice, they scheduled the interview a month later. Then the interview date was over a month after that.

You should have definitely received your EAD by now. You should call USCIS next week to find out why you haven’t received it. Since it could still be a while for the interview (perhaps even months) you may want to find out about the EAD

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

No need for concern. Only the old one updated for us. We also received text and email updates.

Should I do a SR for EAD?

I would call USCIS next week and ask to talk to a Tier 2 officer. They should be able to help you.

Hey everyone,

Hope you are all having a nice weekend :) I've pulled together a blog post of everything I've included in my AOS Interview folder.

https://yaztalksalot.wordpress.com/2018/08/04/aos-interview-checklist/

I used the list on the interview notice and just sort of built it out from there .This is just what I'm personally taking, you may take more than me, you may take less, but a few people wanted to see my checklist so figured this was the easiest way to share :)

Hope it's helpful!

Yaz XOXO.

My FO has a backlog and according to USCIS processing times. It’s backed up over a year.

i was wondering about this. we already submitted a whole affidavit of support set with the AOS and i was going to just bring a copy of that. do you mean to bring a fresh set then? complete with all new supporting docs (ie tax transcripts, paystubs, employment letter)?

You really don't need to bring a new I-864, just the updated tax transcript, job letter n the last 2 months pay stubs.

It doesn't hurt to bring it anyway right?

Yaaaay! Thanks for this @Yaztalksalot ! You are the best!

I went through our docs using your checklist and we have about 90% of what you have. We don’t have some of the bills under both our names because some companies don’t allow another person to be added. We also only have lease agreement because we are currently renting. That should still be ok right?

Aside from the ones you listed, we are also bringing our 401k where we are listed as each other’s beneficiary.

I agree! No harm in bringing it just in case they asked, even when we know it’s not required.

My husband was based in my home country as a local hire prior to us moving back last year (noting foreign earned income)and he changed jobs at the end of the year so i think it’s worth a shot for us to bring the updated affidavit of support just because his financial situation has changed.

My priority date was Sept 1, 2017, then I got RFE and it was received in Oct 2017, so I always consider myself an Oct filer:)

Got combo card on Jan 20 2018 (had to go through Congressman due to error made by USCIS)

Just got an email on Aug 2, 2018 that my interview was scheduled, now waiting for the notice to come in the mail.

PS: the interview update came through the OLD USCIS website: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

You could sign up email alert.
