Hey guys, nice joining this thread. Was just curious if there are any AOS filers awaiting interview from the USCIS Application Support Center Norfolk, Virginia or whether they’ve had their interview appointments scheduled already. Thanks!

Did you see the new changes from USCIS about overstay? Does that include people with pending adjustment of status?

Hi! We are still waiting for an appt letter from Norfolk. We received the EAD/AP but our AOS still says “we received your response to our rfe”. We have close friends who have a scheduled interview for next month in Norfolk. They applied after us so its super annoying that they got their interview before us, but it happens.

It’s really doesn’t give any hope to hear October filers and maybe beyond are still awaiting interview notices when new filers get theirs with ease. We can’t abandon our lives in our home countries to move here with the hope of starting a family and then watch these same hopes being shattered right in front of our very own eyes because of our inability to obtain the necessary paper work to be legally present here.  By the way, per the processing time they’re still in November 2016 thus saying 2017 filers are still awaiting their notices.

Yeah we technically filed in September but received an rfe which pushed as back to october. Our friends filed end up november and received their interview notice the other day.

Anyone used Mamoo in Pakistan site services to get BC from Pakistan?  They seem to be the most reputable and reliable based on my research. Cost is USD $250.

 

There is also Chachu In Pakistan and another Facebook Page.

I filled my AOS in October and got my EAD with AP combo card in January. My EAD expires in October 2018 and as know, the process takes 90 days or more to get a new EAD. I'm thinking to apply in June for a new EAD. Can I apply for an EAD extension already? What do you think?

why does your ead expire so early? i filed in oct and got the card in Jan, too but mine expires in Jan 2019.

that is really weird. re your original question, i agree you need to send in a renewal prior to the expiration, but i don't know how far in advance you are supposed to. i hope somebody chimes in who knows the process as i would also be interested to find out how to go about it!

I double-checked my combo card and I was wrong about the date! It expires on December 2018, exactly a year after the approval.

 

Anyways, in another forum somebody share this link, it seems the existing EAD will automatically be extended for 180 days upon a properly and timely filed I-765 renewal :
