Right but it seems like lost hope now. I THINK I know what it is and I am afraid I cannot provide a stronger evidence. I am hoping it is the 2017 W2/Tax Returns. RFIE/RFE is only awesome when you have what they want.  I have a lawyer with 19 years of experience though to help.

You have a lawyer , then you should be even less worried. Everything is going be all right !!!

No status change on I-765 though? Is it because the process of EAD is automatically frozen on any RFIE/RFE on pending I-485?

They are connected somehow. It means that they cannot make a decision in your EAD while they don't receive your response for your RFIE.

My applications for I765 and I131 were received on the 17th of October.

Yesterday I called Uscis again, to ask info.

They told me that I have to wait because on the 12th of April they sent me an email telling me that my I765 application is under review and I'll get news shortly..
I have to wait 30 days and then in case I can send another inquiry..

I'm sooooo over it!

Yes but a lawyer still has to be able to convince USCIS why I should get approved with not so strong evidence. Strong cover letter should help.

RFIE Update:

Submit an English translation with the applicant's foreign birth certificate issued by the appropriate civil authority. If the document is in a language other than English, you must submit a copy of the foreign language document and an English translation. If the birth certificate is not available, you must submit acceptable secondary evidence AND a letter from the government or other authority. Examples of acceptable secondary evidence may include, but is not limited to; church or school records, listing your parents' names and your date of birth; hospital records of your birth; or other official records indicating a country and record of birth.

Title 8 Code of Federal Regulations, Section 103.2(b)(2xii) states:
"'Where a record does not exist, the applicant or petitioner must submit an original written statement on government letterhead establishing this from the relevant government or other authority. The statement must indicate the reason the record does not exist, and indicate whether similar records for the time and place are available." It must contain one of the following:

o A legible seal o A legible stamp o A signature with a title containing the words: secretary, registrar or births and deaths Information on acceptable birth records for people born outside the United States can be found at http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/enL,/fees/reciprocity-by-country.html.

We sent the original BC in. It is in English from Place of birth: Pakistan.

No RFIE/RFE was asked when I-130 was approved though.

What do you suggest?

Sad news for me:

Request for Initial Evidence Was Mailed

On April 30, 2018, we mailed a request for initial evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC-. The request for evidence explains what we need from you. We will not take action on your case until we receive the evidence or the deadline to submit it expires. Please follow the instructions in the request for evidence. If you do not receive your request for evidence by May 30, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

10/4/17 was RD but why would I get a RFIE? It should be RFE right?

I am afraid that I won't be able to provide the document(s) they need. This is very depressing. I am losing hope here. My lawyer says to wait for the mail.

I see some people getting it for latest year W-2 document because they had not filed the return yet but the case took enough that when they had to provide tax return for 2017 they could later. I pray that it is just that for me so I can submit it.

Hey, March filer here. I was just wondering my case says ready to be scheduled for an interview so did your case change to that before you got a request for evidence? I just wanna know if I should still expect a rfe or if im over that stage...

I-485 changed to My RFIE was mailed.

I-765 is still at Case was received.

My lawyer sent the Birth Certificate in English from Place of birth: Karachi, Pakistan. I spoke to my attorney and he said that was the 'extract' from Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC). I reside in USA.

No RFIE/RFE was asked when I-130 was approved though.

Can anyone advice on how I can obtain my Birth Certificate? Is it from a Consulate/Embassy in USA? NADRA? I see couple websites offering BC service.

I am sooo infuriated with these guys! I called today after 6 months since filing, all they have for me is yet another SR with a 2 weeks wait + "because you had a RFE, it can add another 60-90 days to the processing time". Thanks, fellas! I'm sure the 6th SR will be a lot more helpful than the other 5 <_<
