I got the same thing 2 weeks ago, it is clearly a generic response. No rule of thumb of when getting the response after that. I’m planning to call USCIS today and see if a T2 Officer provides more insights.

How many did it take for you to get the generic response after SR?

I did it on 3/9/18 and response of 4/24/18.

I did it on 3/28 and got it on 4/13. Almost 2 weeks. Reading ***removed*** somebody talked to a T2 agent and apparently the wait time now is 8 months, really sad tbh

That means their system is not entirely automated at the same time length for everyone. Mine was different than yours. I guess that is good news.

That’s good, however I don’t believe this will help to get us approved quicker. :-(

When people get approval after waiting for months only to find that their green card never came or lost. So although it doesnt speed up the process, it does make sure that your green card doesnt get lost.

Sad news for me:

Request for Initial Evidence Was Mailed

On April 30, 2018, we mailed a request for initial evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC-. The request for evidence explains what we need from you. We will not take action on your case until we receive the evidence or the deadline to submit it expires. Please follow the instructions in the request for evidence. If you do not receive your request for evidence by May 30, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

10/4/17 was RD but why would I get a RFIE? It should be RFE right?

I am afraid that I won't be able to provide the document(s) they need. This is very depressing. I am losing hope here. My lawyer says to wait for the mail.

I see some people getting it for latest year W-2 document because they had not filed the return yet but the case took enough that when they had to provide tax return for 2017 they could later. I pray that it is just that for me so I can submit it.
