October 20 - USCIS received and spelled my name incorrectly on I-765. I called to correct my name, but no update.

November 22nd - Biometrics appointment/I corrected my name on my fingerprints.

January 25 - I called to get expedited. They are under review.

March 7 - They finally updated my name and said they are going to schedule for Biometrics. I called to ask about it.

March 9 - USCIS said my fingerprints that I took in November didn't go through.

I think it is because my name on fingerprints didn't match with my name on I-765 application.

I contacted Ambudsman and Senator on March 10th. I made an appointment with Infopass for next week. Senator said "I have asked the appropriate agency to respond to your concerns".

I am still waiting.... 144days....

Wow, this is crazy! They took forever to realize that your biometric didn't work. I hope they schedule your biometric soon. And when you get your biometric appointment letter don't wait for the date of the appointment. Go right away.

Thank you. It seems like name typo error that they made is delaying everything. Can I just go with the letter even though it is not the appointment date? Any day? Any time?

Well, I have read that some people were successful doing this. But of course depends of you local office. I would give a try when you get the letter. You deserve it, it was a mistake that delayed your case.

As of March 9, 2018, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SR-, is currently not assigned for processing.

It should have another update?

Thanks for the idea. I have an appointment with Infopass next week. Hopefully I get the letter before that, so I can try the "walk in early Biometrics".

Ombudsmen and Senator are contacting USCIS with my case. I hope they get response from USCIS soon.

Just to share my experience with SR. They haven't responded to my SR that I sent in November and also in January. I kept calling USCIS and they finally transferred my call to Tier 2 officer.  They could see more details about my case. They sent SR to immigration office and after 1 week they finally updated my name(They made typo error).

They made a typo error with me to and because of it they expedited the case after i contacted the congressman

That's good to know. But they just told me that my fingerprint that I took in November didn't go through. I think it is because i corrected my name while taking Fingerprints, so name didn't match with my application that had name typo error. Ombudsmen and Senator are contacting USCIS now. I don't know when I can get another appointment letter for Biometrics. I requested to get expedited due to my husband's deployment. It is still under review. Hopefully ombudsmen or Senator can get any responses from USCIS soon. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Wow, it's crazy. They already had enough time to approve your EAD

Sometimes they don't update our cases even when they should.

My I -485 just shows finger print received too. I am hoping that I can send the answer tomy RFIE next week.
