Status for my wife's EAD just changed to New Card Is Being Produced at 3:45PM today :)

PD was October 24th. We opened a service request online about a month ago and never heard back. Hopefully the card ships quickly... sending positivity to everyone that's still waiting.

They already had their interview at a USCIS local office. They are worried because they haven't heard anything about their interview in 02/06 not because they missed their interview. But I agree about contacting USCIS just to check what's going on.

Anyone in this group who finish their AOS interview and waiting for approval for 10 Yr GC (not conditional)

YUP I agree with you dear on all points. Sigh...it's really frustrating. If it isn't one thing, it's another.

I know right. :) Goodluck on your search! Hope you find something soon

Today, I was talking to HR and she even called back to ask me for a photograph of my EAD card and she was hell confused why I have EAD and should have TN visa as a Canadian Citizen. (I explained to her  on our first phone conversation that I'm married to USC and is doing adjustment of status) :P

Hey everyone , I travelled on AP for the first time (to go home). Was there for 2 weeks. In and out from LAX.

I don’t know if this is normal but my experience was awful. They looked at my stuff and put my passport to the side and told me to take a seat and they would process me when everyone was done. I had to wait about 60min just for them to be done with the whole airplane. They then took me to the secondary interview room and I waited here for another hour or so. On the way to the room the officer was talking to me and saying that I needed to get my paperwork sorted ASAP. I told him that I was due for interview soon and I thought AP meant that traveling abroad was no problem. He said I needed a visa to get back in (isn’t that what I’m in the middle of doing???). I am honestly not understanding at all why.

In this secondary interview room I overheard conversations officers were having with people and there were people who tried to enter on expired green cards or people who tried to enter without ESTA etc. In the end after everything I was handed my passport back without any questions, just really casual like hey here’s your stuff, the end . The whole ordeal took almost 3 hours (!!!!). It should not be this hard especially when my stuff was all good to go in the end. My husband was so worried because I was not allowed to be on my phone so he didn’t even know why my plane had landed and I hadn’t been out yet.

Youll most likely be fine if you choose to use AP but be aware that you might be in for some bullshit while you try to come back.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Don't feel bad, I'm sure nothing was personal. They were probably dealing with too many people at the time.

There was just another thread about this issue with AP/ EAD combo card.

Per the thread: I guess the combo card is a newer concept card and not everyone is familiar with it. I have heard of a few others having issues with the combo card because airlines/staff are not trained on it. Sorry you had such a difficult time! Most people seem to go smoothly (but a couple reported similar issues) so hopefully next time will be better.

Hey All,

Rarely read any comments from people in Florida, I am located in the West Palm Beach Area here is how my journey has been so far

Application Sent - Sep 9 2017

Received - October 4

Confirmation Text - October 17

NOA1 - October 25

My application for EAD was rejected and returned to me, due to incorrect filing fees (which was false), I resent updated form and pictures October 30

I765 Txt confirmation received November 2

Biometrics for both i485 and i765 November 9th

Advance Parole Document Received Feb 12 (no combo card issued)

I765 status changed to "Name was Updated" Feb 21 (don't really know what that means but read online that it means my case is being currently reviewed

Hopefully I receive more updates soon it has been a long time coming for the majority of us on here
