Whenever you schedule it that's when you will do it. So go ahead and schedule it at anytime.

You got your interview letter from NVC.. cool.   You do know you can move your interview date to an early date if you your case file is already at the embassy?   Not sure if that interests you or not.

Once CEAC status shows ready.. you could contact the embassy to reschedule to an earlier date.

As for the medical getting that completed a week before the interview is fine, some do the medical the same week.   St. Luke's is first come - first served.  Do complete the online pre-registration to save time the first day.

Did you attend CFO already if not, don't forget to get that scheduled.  Appt is required.

thanks @Hank_ for all the info , really appreciated. I expected my interview will be on January next year, I was surprised 😊. My interview date is okay with me because I wanted to celebrate Christmas & new year here in the Philippines 😊.

I attended Cfo already last year. But I'm confused about the application form for medical there's a portion that asking the priority date? I don't know what is that🤔. I read all the email & I found one from USCIS there's priority date which Is May 2016, I'm not sure if it's what they asking.

You really don't have a priority date with the IR/CR-1 (or is it needed by the embassy), with that said the priority date is the RECEIVED date on the NOA1 from when the petition was first filed with USCIS.     Are you doing a DCF?

Great on CFO, I sort of thought you might have attended already to get your passport in your married name.  Just bring the certificate, passport with visa and a COPY of your immigrant data sheet that is attached to your DO NOT OPEN envelope (once you receive your visa package after the interview)

IR-1 that is very cool, you will receive your permanent green card after entry into the USA.    Do make sure the ELIS fee is paid before you enter so there are delays with processing your green card.

Do understand about wanting to spend one more Christmas and New Year with family here.  :)    (ya I am in the Phils)

Hi @Hank_ this interest me. I have scheduled on dec. 4 and been trying to get an earlier date on the website but no luck since there`s no availability. Do you suggest calling them and asking if they have earlier dates available?

It won't hurt anything if you call them so go spend 5 minutes to call them and hopefully have a earlier interview. That way you guys aren't rushed to try to see each other by Christmas.

Calling won't help, they look at the same calendar you see online.   If no earlier dates are showing then the 4th is as good as you can do
