Do you mean the Affidavit of Support? I don't think any of it needs to be notarized....

Are we required to send notarized copies of civil documents or just copies ?

Marriage certificate, birth certificate, police certificate (not required but i will send), passport biodata

also

how are you guys organizing your papers ? paperclips, staples or ring binders ? ring binder is best but they will compromise the authenticity of the copy of the document ?

Notarized ur civil documents, must attach Urdu version of ur Nakah nama with english tanslation because i hv received checklist due to this :( . Use acco fastener and must mentioned ur NVC case number on the upper right corner of each ur paper that u r going to submit at NVC.

When we got married, they gave us urdu and english version of Nakah Nama .. + I got Nadra.. so i will send all 3 .. i wouldnt need to translate

Acco Fasterners will make holes in the paper ? isnt that bad since it will compromise the authenticity of the document ?

people are saying just send copies of civil documents.. also NVC states just send copies .. why you think notarized ?

by acco fastener and mentioning case number on the upper right corner of each page u can make much secure ur papers to lost at NVC. Notary public attestation is not mandatory or compulsory but its suggested by most of people to avoid any checklists.

I did the same sent all three copies of the marriage documents.  Nothing notarized...they are copies.  Beneficiary will bring originals to interview.

Hi all ! Checking in for my father in law's timeline

AOS and IV docs scan date: 08/14/2017

Received a checklist via e-mail on Monday: only thing on list is Mexico Police Certificate, which we are suppose to present at the interview in Juarez.

I haven't yet called in to verify that if this means we have a Case Complete, but i have checked the the ceac website, Case status is back to "at NVC" and AOS line is gone.

Is this the trend for Juarez ? If checklist only includes Police Certificate, it means case complete ?

I don't know if it's a trend for Juarez, but that's a CC--Congratulations!

That's really nice that you can bring the document to the interview instead of having to send it to the NVC to review.

Oh Thank god ! My father in law will be so relieved ! I was assuming it was a trend because it's the only document you wouldn't have easy access to in the U.S. He will be traveling to Juarez for his interview.

Now to wait on CC letter and interview date letter right ?
