How were you able to fill out the form w/o paying the fees first?

I meant DS-261, i got mixed up, I selected a agent and now I wanted to pay fees but do I have to wait on something or I can just pay them

I believe you can pay all the fees once it’s available for you to do so.

Hello VJ community. I’m new to this and I just sent my ds261 paid my AOS and IV fees. Just waiting for them to be processed. Should be done hopefully next week. Just a quick question. The scan date that everyone keeps talking about, I called and asked the lady what my case date is and she said 10-19. Is that my scan date or will my scan date be the day they scan in the cival and supporting docs into the system? I’m asking so I can start my 11 week count down. Should I start it from 10-19 or after I fill out the ds260 and send the docs?

Hello - You can start counting the 11 weeks when NVC scans your civil and supporting documents, that would be your scan date. Hopefully it takes less than 11 weeks.

I just submitted yesterday an expedite request to the NVC regarding a surgery I will have done beginning of January. Does anyone know how long it will take them to approve or deny it and send it off to the embassy?

You’re right, one checklist one package. Supporting documents is your wife, financial documents is you.

Only photocopies.  Don't include originals.  Your wife will need to bring the originals to the interview.

I am still awaiting NVC process but I have a question regarding documents to submit. Do we need to send hard copy in mail of all documents or do we upload all documents to NVC website?

Depends on your country, what country is it?

Anyone using I-864ez can kindly help answer the below since we want to eliminate the chance of errors:

1. Mailing address of immigrant - should i use my address in home country or husband's address in US,

It asks for the immigrants address so it will be the place where the immigrant lives. If the immigrant is in the US then it will be the US address. If they are outside the US then it will be the address, don't quote me on this, where they can receive mail from the consulate where their interview will be scheduled. Usually the country they are immigrating from.

since the "state" block pretty much determined it for US addresses?

Make sure you are using the latest version of the i-864ez, currently dated 07/02/15. On 2.g there is a text box called "province", you should be able to use that.

Also my address in home country is quite long, it wont fit the blanks.

I filled in partially on that page and then the rest i filled in Section 9 called "additional information" quoting the page, section and item in the boxes provided.

2. In care of name - what should we fill in if using mine / husband's address? (also for mailing address of sponsor, should we leave it blank or just write his name?)

For the immigrants mailing address section it will be the immigrants name if they are to receive the mail themselves if someone else will receive it on the immigrants behalf then it will be  the other persons name.

The Sponsors section it will be the  sponsors name if they are to receive the mail themselves if someone else will receive it on the sponsors behalf then it will be  the other persons name. For the address it will be the sponsors mailing address. If they are in the US, it will be the US one.

3. USCIS ELIS Account Number - we're not supposed to have one typically right? Or is it related to the online notification service we signed up for?

You don't need to sign up for one if you don't have one.

4. Should i leave those empty pages blank (such as interpretor / preparer information which are not applicable) or should i just write N/A to everything?

I left them empty because of Section 6 "sponsors statement" where i only checked box 1.a.

Thank you so much in advance.

See if this helps.
