Hello VJ community. I’m new to this and I just sent my ds261 paid my AOS and IV fees. Just waiting for them to be processed. Should be done hopefully next week. Just a quick question. The scan date that everyone keeps talking about, I called and asked the lady what my case date is and she said 10-19. Is that my scan date or will my scan date be the day they scan in the cival and supporting docs into the system? I’m asking so I can start my 11 week count down. Should I start it from 10-19 or after I fill out the ds260 and send the docs?

Please fill out your timeline as well so it's easier for everyone to have a reference :)

I woke up with a few emails from NVC including the welcome letter and messages from husband saying those were already paid. So i logged in to the system and saw both payments showing the status "in process" and email receipts of the fees from NVC.

I wonder if it is the same website for logging in and showing both fees status? What is the status for IV fee tab, is it greyed out?

It appears that some of us can paid them at the same time, some of us have to pay it one at a time? I have no idea how it works tho...

Both fees showing "in process" now

once your DS261 is reviewed by NVC, they will send you the email to pay IV fees. mine took 2 days. Call NVC and ask them if they have reviewed your DS 261. Once they review it, you will get email to pay IV fees within 2-3 days.

So I’m the beneficiary but I have live in the US for about 16 years (long story). That’s how I met my husband. I have only lived in my home country for a year since I mover back from the US. However I only sent a police certificate from Ghana I didn’t know I had to get one from the US as well. 😩😩

Present and former residents of the United States should NOT obtain any police certificates covering their residence in the United States.

Hello. Please tell me which option to select on calling NVC to confirm if they have received my case from USCIS? I’ve been selecting option 2 and the operator tell me my case is not in the system. My case was approved after 22 months.

Anyone using I-864ez can kindly help answer the below since we want to eliminate the chance of errors:

1. Mailing address of immigrant - should i use my address in home country or husband's address in US, since the "state" block pretty much determined it for US addresses? Also my address in home country is quite long, it wont fit the blanks

2. In care of name - what should we fill in if using mine / husband's address? (also for mailing address of sponsor, should we leave it blank or just write his name?)

3. USCIS ELIS Account Number - we're not supposed to have one typically right? Or is it related to the online notification service we signed up for?

4. Should i leave those empty pages blank (such as interpretor / preparer information which are not applicable) or should i just write N/A to everything?

Thank you so much in advance.

I wana say I picked option number 3. They asked for my case number, name, DOB, and petitioners name.

But omg why did your i130 take so long to be approved ?

By case number you mean uscis receipt number. I’ve yet to confirm if they have received my case. Well USCIS transferred my case  to VSC in dec 2016 and then got RFE 2 weeks before approval on sept 13 2017.  They asked some info regarding my husband’s business.

Oh yes sorry they will ask for your receipt number. If they have received your case from USCIS and they have assigned u a case number and invoice number they can give you those numbers over the phone. Sometimes the people on the phone aren’t so nice and will insist u wait for your NVC welcome letter to get your case number but just keep calling cz some people are nicer than others and will give it to you over the phone.

Good luck!
