Hey! Does anyone know the average time NVC is currently taking? Are they backed up like USCIS? Quicker than 11 weeks? 

 

Just trying to get an estimate!

I just checked my case status and noticed that it has changed to At NVC.

I called NVC to confirm and was informed that the case is being sent to the embassy.

 

NVC did inform me that interviews are generally at the end of the month. Other then waiting for an email, how soon would be a good time to check for an interview date?

 

The frustrating thing is that we are near the end of the month of October and I may have to wait until the end of November to get an interview date.

 

By the way, my scan date is 9-1-2017.

It's much quicker than 11 weeks. Hopefully 6-8 weeks

Finally got our case number and INV number, husband paid the fees and finally i can sit back and enjoy the weekend

Congrats on the progress,  was just wondering was he able to pay IV bill as well or just the AOS?  Cus I'm still waiting for my IV bill to be unlocked. Even called them 8:39pm California time nd they said it could take up to 3 weeks.....

Yay! Just got off the phone with NVC and they have received my package!

Scan Date: 10/25/2017  Let the waiting game begin ...AGAIN. 

Im very hopeful this process will be less than the 11 weeks!

Hello! My first post. I also just got my case a couple of days ago. Once I filled out the ds261 on 10/24 and I called around 7ish CA time cuz I was having a hard time paying the aos fee. The lady on the phone asked me if I was using explorer and I told her no. She told me to use that and while I was there I said so I just submitted my ds261 and she said like just now and I said yes and she said hold on and after about 30 seconds she said I just pushed Your ds261 through you should be good. The next day I got a receipt to pay the iv fee. Maybe try calling them and see if they take a look at your ds261 while you’re on the phone. Maybe say like you want to make sure you have the right email or somethings. Hope that helps.

I woke up with a few emails from NVC including the welcome letter and messages from husband saying those were already paid. So i logged in to the system and saw both payments showing the status "in process" and email receipts of the fees from NVC.

I wonder if it is the same website for logging in and showing both fees status? What is the status for IV fee tab, is it greyed out?

Hello VJ community. I’m new to this and I just sent my ds261 paid my AOS and IV fees. Just waiting for them to be processed. Should be done hopefully next week. Just a quick question. The scan date that everyone keeps talking about, I called and asked the lady what my case date is and she said 10-19. Is that my scan date or will my scan date be the day they scan in the cival and supporting docs into the system? I’m asking so I can start my 11 week count down. Should I start it from 10-19 or after I fill out the ds260 and send the docs?
