Calling is the best option. I would say start calling now. Your case number and invoice number should be ready by now. Good luck !!

NVC calling hours: 7am-12pm. Call either early in the morning or later at night so that you do not have to wait too long

Yes. when you call there will be a option for case and invoice # i believe. and then it will transfer to a representative. Make sure you have the USCIS number and also beneficiary name, date of birth and petitioner name.

Yeah you should really feel lucky. cc within 10days of checklist? I guess the baby is bringing some real luck into your life. Congratulations on both the CC and the Baby!!! Wish you the best :jest: :jest:

T&F kindly update you're timeline, we be relying on this info to gauge were our cases are @.  you're timeline states you received ds261 in October this yr but sent IV packet in June does that sound right?

Hi all,

Our NOA1 were approved on 8 Sept. we are still waiting for our letter from NVC. After 30days of waiting, we decided to call NVC,so we phoned NVC couple times in the past weeks. But they say that they don’t have any information for us yet and it takes 6 weeks to be assigned a case numbers and Invoice ID's and refuse to let us talk with a tier 2.

I am so upset that it takes this long to even start the process. Is there anyone also took that long to get their case assigned and can give us some suggestions?

Thanks

Contact USCIS and check with them if the case has been sent mine took about twenty days but when I called two days later it got to NVC maybe they still seating on it. takes abt three to five days to get assigned a case  no. and INV no. per what I have seen on VJ.

Hahah that’s definitely a typo. I don’t remember the dates for the actions in between because I wasn’t marking them somewhere before joining VJ.

First off, thanks to all who takes time to reply to questions on this forum....

I realized that some of my husband's (beneficiary) civil document  has his middle name listed as first name and first name as middle name(same names but different arrangement) Is this something to worry about since we are submitting those copies to NVC?   instead of    ( UD    CHRIS, they have it as CHRIS   UD)   do i continue with what USCIS have or fill out NVC stage with what is on the civil document?

Thanks

I've been calling lately (my case sent to DOS Sep 25 and they received it last week) so if you choose option 2, they will be able to tell you whether you case is in the system, but they wont be able to access to it for the case and invoice #. Once they see it in the system, they will ask you to call option 5, which will be a different team and they will be able to access to your case for more info.

However, option 5 will not be able to see if NVC has received it if case number / invoice number is not assigned yet. So keep calling option 2 until they said they have the case. It takes a few days for the case to be set up.

Mine currently was assigned an invoice number but not a case number when i called last Thursday. Need to call again monday also to add email addresses to the case after they established the case #.
