OK just re-read the dwheels guide and saw that the "action required" status just means case is still processing. I will just call to confirm they have my documents and check if it's being reviewed yet I guess. Still debating whether asking for a supervisor will speed up anything at all. Thoughts?

Yeah like you read on dwheels’ guide that status is what will always appear until they’re done reviewing your documents. Your case might be a little delayed b/c of the payment issue, but it seems to be fine now. To be clear call and ask for your scan date. If you say scan date they might not get it, so ask when did they receive your documents? If they give you a date that’s your scan date and you start counting 11 weeks from that date. I understand your frustration, hang in there we are all together in this , and it will soon be over. Keep us posted.

Hi

Has anyone been expedited by NVC and had their case processed at their respective embassy? I have 2 questions.

1. I am unsure of payment for the AOS fee - I've noticed NVC states, on their fee schedule, the AOS fee is not required "if reviewed domestically". Does this mean domestically in the US (i.e. at NVC) or one's home country? Am I understanding this that if your case is expedited, then no AOS fee would be due?

2. If your case is expedited and sent to your embassy, how long did it take before you were given the interview date?

Any help/ advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Typically how long does it takes to get the interview date once I-130 has been approved? Based on the time line, I think it takes 4-5 months.  Is my estimate correct?

Hmmm yes minimum of 4 months if lucky and maximum of 8 months if there is checklist

Update: I was not able to call NVC to confirm, but it turns out i didn't need to.

Received e-mail notification of letter confirming Case Complete and I'm now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment.

Letter is dated 06-Oct-2017

Is my case complete date 02-Oct-2017 when i received the checklist and ceac status changed back to "At NVC" and AOS info disappeared ? or the date on this case complete letter ?

Thanks for your kind words. I had to take a short break from this site because seeing people with similar timelines getting interview dates was making me anxious, as happy as I am for them.

I did call them and ask about the status of my case and the rep could only confirm that they received my documents on 9th August, and said that it could take up to 11 weeks. So I really hope they still manage to process my case within 11 weeks even with the delay. I am feeling a bit better today and however long it takes, I'm fortunate that my husband is able to stay here with me in Singapore while we wait.

13-Mar-18 - POE

27-Apr-18 - Green card received

13-Jan-20 - Mailed out I-751 packet

15-Jan-20 - NOA date

12-Feb-20 - Biometrics appt completed; Status: Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken

07-Oct-20 - Case ready to be scheduled for interview

06-Jul-21 - Interview scheduled

Up to 11 Weeks.

my first scan date was June14 and I got my checklist on August 16. 2nd scan date is August 28. I called today and they said my case went in to review October 4. So around 7-8 weeks
