Hey guys,

Some of you already know me, and know my case. But I'm coming here to ask you for ideas of what I can do.

My case was completed on May 23rd, and I don't have an interview date so far, it's been almost 5 months. My lawyer already called the brazilian embassy and they told her to talk to the NVC. She already called to the NVC and they said that they don't have a timeframe but our case is completed and there is nothing wrong with it, we just have to sit and wait. I tried our congressman, but he tried the brazilian embassy and the NVC, and had exactly the same answers, so no help at all. We already tried requesting expedition, but they said if nobody is dying they don't see a reason to expedite my case.

We don't know what else to do, it seems that we won't be schedule.

Do any of you have any ideia of what we can try to do?

Thanks guys.

I'm so sorry. It seems like you have done all you can. I would have imagined your Congressman would be most likely to help push the process in the right direction.

Have you been in contact with anyone else from Brazil going through the same process? Is everyone this delayed in getting an interview date or is it just your case in particular?

My UK police clearance expires this month and my interview is November. I do not live in the UK anymore since March 2016. Do I still need to provide a new police clearance from that country for my interview?

What does the statement below mean:

The embassy may require additional documents at the interview.  For example, if the following three items are all true, the applicant must bring a new police certificate to the visa interview:

  • •    He or she is more than 16 years old;
  • •    The police certificate submitted to NVC was obtained more than one year ago; and
  • •    He or she still lives in the country that issued the certificate.

I was expecting something different from the congressman too.

There is no other brazilian on this forum, so I have no idea if this delay is just on my case. And neither the NVC nor the embassy can say anything about it, it's everything so confidential, that we feel completely powerless on our case.

Salu&Mic 7/28/2017 9/18/2017 10/26/2017 Brazil 90
Fclsp75 6/6/2017     Brazil
valentindadp 4/25/2017 5/18/2017 5/25/2017 Brazil 30
lawsarcasm 2/22/2017 2/28/2017 4/7/2017 Brazil 44

I pulled a few user names from the case complete to interview spreadsheet for Brazil. Unless they just haven't updated their info, it looks like maybe Fclsp75 had a CC in June with no interview date? Maybe you can reach out to them to see if they're in the same boat as you. The dates are crazy. Doesn't seem like there's any rhyme or reason. Someone with a CC well after yours has their interview date for October. Therefore, them telling you that they aren't scheduling yet doesn't make any sense. I would maybe reach out to your congressman again with this information or even reach out to Salu&Mic to ask the details of their case? At this point anything avenue is worth trying.

I saw all of this people, but  Salu&Mic register here on September 20th and filled his info but never came back, I believe it is a fake or something, besides the fact that he has a different kind of visa.  Fclsp75 is not even a user, so I can't reach him, at least i didn't found his user. And the other, I already talked to them, and no delay for them at all.

I already called to the NVC once saying that they already scheduled another person with the same kind of visa that had his CC after mine, and their answer was that every case is different from the other, even if you are applying for the same kind of visa. But if you ask them what are the criteria to scheduling queue, they don't know or are not allowed to say.

They told me the same thing when I called during the USCIS phase asking why people with a PD after mine were already approved.  There's also a facebook group with like 22k members. Maybe you can join that group and ask the same questions? There might be some people on there from Brazil. If you want to send me a private message I'll give you the info.

We are. CC on September 22nd. Nothing yet.

I'm not sure when they schedule interviews, I thought they did it only at the end of every month. Hopefully not.

I called NVC and they mentioned they schedule during the first 2 weeks of each month. I was also informed they are currently scheduling for Nov. dates. that they are scheduling this week and next week and depending on how many dates the CDJ embassy provides the NVC with we either get one or wait until next month. I am praying we get ours

Hey Louie! I'm so sorry you're still in this struggle, stay strong. Try letting a supervisor call you back, even if they tell you you've no reason to ask for one. N I hope you get a nice one so you tell him what's wrong!!

We called today, no interview yet. Cc was couple months ago. They're still scheduling next week so let's pray we get sth then!! 🙏🙏

Well, If all three bullets are true then you need to bring a new copy, but based on your current location the third bullet doesn't apply to you so you don't need to request a pc from the UK. However, to be safe I will suggest to request one from where you live now.

Thanks a lot T&F. Your reply is very helpful. I thought so too, but needed a second opinion on what that grammar means. Sure I intend to request a new pc for Nigeria since I currently live here.. Cheers!
