Hi, do you have an idea how long it takes to collect the visa after interview is approved at Lagos embassy. Secondly, I see on the website to pay for a courier service in advance before the interview. Have you done this in preparation for your interview. Thirdly, I chose to do my medical exams in Abuja. It's the third option given on NVC website apart from the two private practice in VI and Ikoyi. And it's much cheaper in Abuja and take 5-8 days to get the result as against the 14 days waiting time for the clinics in Lagos.

Do you know how long does it take to get the passport  in hand after the interview? I heard sometimes it takes month or so to get the passport after the interview. if that is the case, then buying a non-refundable air ticket without having the passport in hand would be a little risk. Recently one of my friend's parents had there interview and they get their passport after 2 months. I don't think embassy consular would be in bother with ticket. As far as I know, Embassy does not have anything to do with the air ticket.

Good Morning Everyone! :D New to this forum so hoping you guys can help me set up my VAC center appt. for my wife.

1. Stupid question: When I logged into ustraveldocs.com it asks on step 3 to either select "All Immigrant or Diversity Visas" or "K Visas" I believe we applied for a CR1 visa as we got married in 11/2016 (married less than 2 years) and I applied for her when I got back to California.

2. When I was updating her information like passport and phone numbers it asks about  the mailing address. Should I fill in her physical address (mailing) or  bluedart address where we want the passport returned?

Thanks! Any feedback is appreciated. I know I am over thinking lot this.

Hello, I got a notification stating that my case has been sent directly to the embassy instead of the interview being scheduled by the NVC. (ie they expedited the interview part of my case).

Has anyone else gotten their interview expedited? About how long did it take for the embassy to receive the case?

Yes, I'll keep you all post it. And thank you for your prayers, you'll be in my prayers as well.

I have a feeling all of us waiting for CDJ interviews won't hear anything until next week...

i studied the Case Complete Spreadsheet and it looks like NVC scheduled the bulk of the "Mexico" interviews between Sept. 25-29...and those peoples CC dates ranged from mid August till early Sept.

Clearly I have too much time on my hands.... lol

Here's hoping we all have our interviews by next week !!
