My friend said she saw HP Steak Sauce in the store the other day and we were just wondering if it is actually brown sauce just with a different name? The bottle looks about the same. Anyone know?

Indeed, although I have to say I don't mind Cadbury's made by Hershey too much, its infinitely superior to Hershey's regular chocolate. Not a patch on the original.

The funny thing about the American HP is that my local Wegmans sells it next to the proper stuff, and the American stuff is 40cents more for the same size bottle! Why do they even bother?

I haven't seen fake or real HP sauce in this area!

mmm some chips....with some thai sweet chili...yummo.

Better than that is chips and Maggi Chilli Sauce, not the sweet Thai one they sell in supermarkets here, but the one from Malaysia which seems to be rare in the USA. Best Chilli Sauce in the world!
