You do not need to pay anything at the embassy. Once your visa is approved and you have it in hand, you can pay the Immigrant Fee (Green card fee which is $220). You can pay it either before or after you enter the US, but USCIS encourages immigrants to pay it before.

More info: https://www.uscis.gov/file-online/uscis-immigrant-fee

N400 filed - online: 10/30/2020

NOA: 11/02/2020

Bio reuse: 12/30/2020

USCIS changed to "Interview Scheduled": 06/07/2021

Interview Date: 07/14/2021 Approved!

USCIS changed to "Oath Ceremony will be scheduled": 07/15/2021

USCIS changed to "Oath Ceremony notice mailed": 07/20/2021

Oath Ceremony: 08/06/2021 🇺🇸

Did you send the original (wet signature one) to the NVC? If so, they will probably not ask for the copy. I had one with me just in case, better safe than sorry :)

Did they say you have to correct something on the I-864? In that case your husband must fill in the form again, make the correction and sign it again,

And you have to of course bring it to the interview. The CO will definitely be aware of the checklist from NVC and will ask for the form.

You pay the USCIS visa fee after the visa is approved. ($220 USD) you pay that after visa is approved but before arriving to the US
