I'm so glad I saw post. I had confidently used an I-765 I previously used to apply for my STEM OPT Extension and dropped the package off yesterday night at UPS. Luckily, USPS hasn't done their pickup for the day, so I was able to have them hold my package.:o

01/20/2018 Received approval letters for EAD and AP

09/20/2018 Received text 'Interview was scheduled' and interview notice will be mailed

09/27/2018 Received Interview notice by mail

10/25/2018 Interview day

10/26/2018 I-485 case status updated to "We ordered your new card"

10/29/2018 Case Status updated to "We approved your Form I-485"

10/31/2018 Case Status updated to "We mailed your new card"

11/01/2018 My card was picked up by the USPS with tracking number assigned

11/05/2018 Green Card Received 

 

Side note: I turned my maiden name into second middle name. In the combo card, my given name is First Firstmiddleinitial, however on the back of the card, they attempted to list my second middle name.

Which date are you looking at?  I have a feeling you are looking at top right corner date, where it says "Expires".  That is NOT the date of the edition of the form.

 

You want to look at the bottom left hand corner, what date shows there?

I'm talking about an updated form, I've already sent the updated form of I-485 and as for I-765, the date of the updated version says 07/17/17 and that's what USCIS website says about it: starting 12/04/2017, we will only accept the 07/17/17 edition. Until then, you can use the 01/17/17 edition.

Okay, I thought this was a recent thread.  So you already got your I-485 rejected and send back to you?  And you sent back the updated form?

 

As for the I-765, yes, you are correct.  You can use the 01/17/17 edition until 12/04/2017
