Hello all,

I have been following this forum for awhile now since petitioning for my i-129f in January 2017. Petition was received on January 19, 2017 and have been pending since. I was told my case was sent for security check in May 2017 and is still there when I last called earlier this week on Tuesday. So my question is does it usually take this long for security checks? I have no criminal background and work for the the government at the county level. Any positive feedback is appreciated.

Depends, where is the beneficiary from? It can take a long time to go through security checks depending on the country, not all of them are fast and smooth in that regard.

Eiether way, if I were you I'd contact the senator or congressman in your state to ask for help, you're outside normal processing time.
