Hello guys!! So we just got our NOA1 today via text. However, today as well, my fiance decided to quit his job of 8 months that has a good pay. He planned to turn in his resignation in a few days, now my question is since before NOA2 it'll take roughly 6months for processing if he gets a new job that has a lesser pay(he'll be returning to vegas which is so difficult to get a high paying job) will that be a problem for the affidavit of support? Does the manila embassy accept co sponsor? he can get his step dad for it. What are the chances of getting denied if in case he is unemployed or has a low income(not reaching the poverty limit) ? 😕😕

Any response will be greatly appreciated !!

USEM accepts a co sponsor for the I-134 on a case by case basis...usually with close relatives. On the plus side, they usually don't even ask for the I-134 at the interview (but you should still have it + supporting evidences ready just in case!).

For AOS (after entry on the K-1 and getting married), he can use a joint sponsor for the I-864 fine.

Thankss! He'll get his Step dad for it, which he lived in the same house with for 10 yrs, will that be considered a close relative? Cuz it's his "step dad" he's legally adopted tho.

It's something the CO will consider. It's handled on a case by case basis so there's no way to be 100% sure who they will or won't accept. But I personally think it's probably fine.
