This is a link of a few people talking about what gaming is about.

I don't think gaming is the problem. There is far more realism in violence in movies versus gaming. I played video games, and I don't go out and shoot people. Heck, I am even afraid to have a gun in my home. LOL. I told my wife, no matter what, I don't like guns and will move a million miles away from it if I have too (exaggeration).

Anyway, gaming made me much more detailed oriented. It made me more thorough in engineering projects because I am able to focus clearer. Brain surgeons who play video games are more precise in sugical techniques than those who don't play video games. It's from the IEEE (Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineer) Spectrum magazine. I threw away that edition a few months ago. Oh well.

The (realistic) violent video games were not possible until after I had largely outgrown them.

We should remember this - lots of people play video games.

Correlation does not always imply causality.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

That should make your demolition even more meaningful and exhilarating. All those 5 year old adults who are jealous of your success had better back off !

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

However, in certain cases, it would stand to reason that videogaming isself is a cause.

Your mind is like a muscle. The more you use it, the strong it gets. Videogaming is active. Depending on the input control, you get very good at whatever you use to control the game. You also get very good the particular skills required to play the game: for example... Street Fighter II, you get very god at hitting sequences of buttons. For the Dance games, you get good at your footwork.

There is a new CURE for ADHD now, and it is video game. There is a computer simulation of a bouncing ball, and they hook you to to a biofeedback network, so when you focus your attention on the ball it gets higher. When you shift your attention away, the ball goes back to normal. ADHD kids do this for a while, get good at bouncing the ball high, and ba-da-bing. Cured of ADHD.

Presumably this would also allow kids to greatly increase their focusing ability beyond normal...

Your absence runs through me like a needle
