Just wondering,  was it your State Congressman, or US Congressman that you contacted?  I just want to know just in case I need to go that route some time down the road.

What do you mean by this question? By state congressman, do you mean state rep in the state government (like state asssembly(wo)man)? If so, then no, since state government has no role in immigration. If you mean the US senators for your state, then they can help you. Your congressman for your US congressional district can assist as well.

Some are more responsive than others. Unfortunately you can only ask for assistance for those that rep you...

US Congressman.  They have special reps in their offices who only deal with USCIS and other immigration agencies.  My Congressman's office has been so helpful in monitoring the status of my husband's ROC.

Following up on what happened with my rfe.. I reached out to congress and uscis responded that in fact they did make a mistake with my case, it was good to get clarification but upsetting as I've been waiting way too long as a January filer because of a stupid mistake on there end.

Upsetting understandably, but you couldn't ask for a better response than from you representative. :)  - glad it's cleared up

I'd get this response letter in the mail, make a copy for the immigration liaison and then request expedited processing (check what dates they're processing now).

Yes, I've sent congress the RFE response I am sending back. I sent it in the mail already and they also will send it to USCIS asking for expedited processing as my case is way outside of processing times because of there error. They responded within a few days to congresses inquiry about their blunder, hopefully they will finish my case rather quickly as well.

They transferred my case to NSC back in May and I was always wondering why because CSC was the only place really processing K1 Visas, and I saw NSC wasnt processing them at all. They are processing K3 at NSC however so it all makes sense to the transfer now, I am wondering if they will transfer my case back to CSC now are just go ahead and finish working on it at NSC.
