My wife and daughter came to USA in Nov 2016.  STAYED 3 WEEKS AND WENT BACK TO COLOMBIA. DAUGHTER HAD medical appointments for a condition. THE WIFE returned to USA in June and is still in Usa. The daughter is 14 and has not wanted to return to Usa. Boyfriend...in Colombia. HER CR2 WILL EXPIRE NOV OF 2018. Since the daughter has only been in Usa 3 weeks in Nov 2016, I worry she will not be admitted back to Usa. PROVIDING MY DAUGHTER charges her mind, is there a way to get an extension of time on the Cr2?

the cr1 become s greencard valid for one year upon entry to the us. you still need to pay the card production fee.

she has to return by Nov of 2017 since she can not be out for longer than a year without a reentry permit. in Nov of 2018 she will have to do removal of conditions which can not be extended and will require her to be in the us. having been out of the us for so long already may have already hurt her chances of being let back in.

now for the parenting advice.

look out for the child's best interest and if it is in her best interest have her move to the us. if it is not then why did you apply for a greencard for her? you are risking her status as a lpr for a teenage crush the longer she is there the harder it will be for her to move to the us.

My only response will be regarding the child. A child is a child and an adult ie the parent is responsible for the child well being. When did it become that children make decisions for their future. Man up and be the parent if she has a fit so be it when she becomes 18 she can have all the fits she wants until then you are in charge.

hi

as stated, she should be coming home now, the sooner the better, it doesn't matter that the card will expire next year. the GC is for living in the US, if she stays in her country for over a year, she will loose her GC, immigration will considered the GC abandoned

the sooner she returns the better
