Hello. I want to join this coversation also cause I also filed my petition for my mom September 13, 2017, got approved March 29, 2018 And NVC received my case the other day, April 18, 2018. I called them today and they told me they didn’t enter yet in their system, they also said it may take up to 8 weeks (I hope it’s not, because that’s a long wait). Is there anyone here, already got their case number? How long did you wait for it after tgey received it? Thank you!

As I said in my previous post despite NOA2 on 18-03-07 sent to NVC 18-03-16 received 18-03-23, the NVC still haven’t processed our applications or given us our numbers. On the phone on 18-04-16 I was told up to 8 weeks.  They are overwhelmed with applications and there is a notice online saying processing time is longer at the moment.

Will ring again this week and keep the group informed. :(

Now both mom's and dad's apps are showing status sent to dept of state (3 apr for mom, 13 apr for dad). i'll give it another couple of weeks, then call. In the meantime, getting the financial docs etc. ready. Very nice to see folks posting updates. Thanks everyone. Let's go through the last few steps of this journey together :)

I dont know what to do.  My son's first name is Lourd Benedict but on  the notice of receipt they only put Benedict on the first name. so my husband called the USCIS to correct it and we thought that it was fix. But yesterday when we got the approval letter. Its still the same, they only put Benedict instead of Lourd Benedict. Anybody has the same issue with us before? Pls help. Thank you

I think I saw some discussion of being able to correct the name at NVC stage on one of the other forums. You might want to search on that.

Hi! Hows your case? Any updates after your cases from your parents sent to nvc?

Hi folks. We actually started this process August 2017, but there is no group for that and it seems very close to this one.

It is for both my parents. The dates so far:

NOAA 1: 08/14/2017

NOAA 2: 02/23/2018

I just rang the NVC and they said they did not receive the case until 04/16. I am so frustrated!  I am not sure what happened between the end of Feb and last week, but they said it would take up to a further 8 weeks until I get a case number!
