The CEAC website is still down today. Wonder when it will be restored? Maybe some major system change going on?

I logged in and uploaded some documents. and it is still working for me.  Make sure you refresh the page or try clearing cache or try different browsers.

Is getting case number by email the best way to receive it (better than regularly calling NVC?). Also, do they already have our email or should explicitly give it to them at some point?

They should have your email if you put it on I130.  If your cases are sent to CEAC then you will get automated welcome email immediately.  I think regular processing it is faster to ring and get case number.

By email, NVC will reply after 2-6 weeks. 

By phone, you can get the answer immediately.

 

By email, you can ask NVC to update your email so they can send you Welcome letter when your case is ready for processing (if you change new email or has not provided on i-130).

 

You can ask them to give you case number and invoice ID.

I received an RFE thru email from NVC. But I am confused. Do I need to send the I864 and civil documents again or just the NBI clearance?

Hello guys Question

After you paid your IV and submitted all the documents by scanning it, do you still need to photocopy it again and send it by mail? According to step 6.
