Sealed Medical Envelope for POE

My fiancee had her interview and was approved. She picked up her visa package from Good2Go yesterday, but was upset because it appeared that her newly-stamped passport was INSIDE the sealed envelope with her medical records! The pouch is clear, but paper inside warns of even attempting to break the seal making her visa null and void. We both agreed she needs to phone the embassy in the morning and likely go back and give them the documents again to resend to her.

I don't get it. I thought the sealed medical results are in a manila envelope sealed and opaque. Yet, her packet had her medical papers and passport in a CLEAR plastic pouch with a visible paper stating DO NOT OPEN. How is she supposed to get her passport out of there? Does it sound like the embassy messed up?

If you  use the advance search tool you will see that there have been other topics started on this same subject.

She can make a small slit in the envelope to retrieve her passport.  The POE packet should remain untouched  DO not open or bother the envelope for POE.

Thanks! I wasn't aware that anyone had reported having this happen, and had no clue where specifically to look!

Far upper right corner just under your user name is a little google box.  Whenever you want to look up something just type the subject in there.  Past thread on that issue will come up.  Sometimes you may need to alter your wording, but I usually get good responses from that.   No worries.  Btw, the passport will contain a sticker like visa on one of the pages.   It's more than just a stamp.  Congrats!

Yup, I found the Advanced Search button, but found nothing relating to my topic. I did however look closely at 2 pictures she sent me on FB Messenger last night, and I am anxious to talk to her when she wakes up now. I think she still has everything in the Good2Go bag, and the page with the "Do Not Open" warning is visible inside, and the very first line says that the passport can be fetched from the pouch but nothing else is to be disturbed. So I think we're good.

Thanks for the congrats! Our only issue was a small spot on her chest x-ray that she had to have the sputum test for, but she passed that, then passed her interview 9 days later.

The POE packet is the yellow envelope right? But the clear plastic bag that encases it fine to open?

No, they won't unopened as well. Just like what was reported earlier as well, the best way to get it out is to make a small cut in the plastic to get the passport out.
