My fiance called me on the phone full of excitement after his interview. We are APPROVED! He said the Officer was real nice and very conversational. She said she would ask 4 questions and ended up asking him over 20 questions in a very subtle manner. Who petitioned you? What does she do? Has she ever been married? Kids? How old? Birthdays? What address will you live at in the US? When and how did you meet your fiance? What are your wedding plans? Why the courthouse? How many times has your fiance visited Nigeria? When did you get engage? What are the dates of your fiance's visit to Nigeria after you started dating? Asked for recent pictures. Pointed to my mom and asked who is this? Where's this located? Any pics including your family? Showed more pics. He told me that the waiting was very excruciating with all the different lines. He arrived an hour earlier at 6am for a 7am scheduled interview and didn't complete the interview process until 10:30am. I'm so glad to finished with the interview and now we wait for the visa to be in hand and then POE (Atlanta, GA).

Congratulations to everyone that is making progress with their K-1 Visa journey and my prayers are with those of you that are waiting for progress. Just know that it will come and that it's all worth it.

Congratulations !!! i know how do you feel now ))) it's great !

i'll fly to Atlanta too ))), but through New York , so my POE    N.Y.

Well I just got off the phone with USCIS. It's been since Sept 13 that they received my response to RFE. according to them they have 60 days to adjudicate. For what it's worth I gave them my two-cents worth and explained I never should have received the RFE to begin with but responded none-the-less. I made sure they understood I wasn't happy with them and I wanted it on record.

We'll see what happens now...next step....Sen Moran(R) Ks

I usually respond to posts, so it's a first for me to pose a question.

For those that have already received their visa from the Manila Embassy, how did you track it with 2Go?  Do you use the UID number from the Embassy appointment letter as the tracking number in 2Go's system?  I saw an old post that said to do that.  Did the Embassy send you notification with a number?

I'm curious as our status changed to "Issued" yesterday.

Thanks

Yeah, use the UID number on your appointment confirmation email.

In my case, the issue date was days before the 2Go people actually picked it up at the embassy.  When it is picked up at the embassy, then the 2Go site will then start to show details.  Until then....... it says invalid ID

Good news is usually about 2 days to deliver it to you after they pick it up.

Thank you for confirming what I read.  The status changed yesterday, so I am hoping that it gets out by the end of the week.  R is thinking tomorrow.  She is always more optimistic, and as such, she loses a lot of bets to me...haha

Finally done.

So her odds are getting better and better at being right :) Every squirrel gets an acorn, heh heh heh. Watch 2Go pick it up at 9am and she'll be all kinds of "I told u so, I told u so"

Dang, I have been so rooting for the two of you.  I was really hoping that you would be coming on here to give us great news.  I am seriously pissed off for you.  I am sure not as much as you are though.  I would not wait to get ahold of Sen Moran, get the ball rolling.  It has been over 30 days, they have had plenty of time.  Ours took almost 3 weeks, but yours is now pushing or over 5 weeks.  I am glad you gave them a piece of your mind.

Good Luck!!

Thanks..yeah I told them about themselves but did so politely ;) I can't believe I sent this petition off on Mar 31 and here we sit...waiting for the political posturing to filter us through. I knew without a doubt; I would have my Love with me for the holidays...now I'm just hoping to have her by Valentines day.

BTW congrats to all that have approvals and visas....very green with envy

Haha yeah...I'm a Truck Driver by trade so being polite while telling someone off isn't my strong suit, but I pulled it off...She did get the finger every time she opened her mouth but she didn't know it.:jest: Probably should have switched political affiliation prior to submitting my petition but I didn't think of it LOL..I seriously feel like we're paying for POTUS' immigration reforms. Little do they know I didn't vote for Him or Her.

Dumb question for you.  Do you fly east from the east coast to Phils?

I went that route in January..... Ft Lauderdale to Dubai going up the Eastern Seaboard across the North Atlantic then down to cross over the coast of France and land in DXB to Manila   About 30 hrs travel.

In May I went West to DFW then North over the North Pole to Hong Kong to Manila  About 30 hrs travel

Two weeks ago I went North to JFK then North by Northwest just under the Arctic circle to Hong Kong to Manila  About 28 hrs travel.

Literally for me, it is half-way around the world so I could fly South to get there and have about the same arrival time.    Of all the flights, I enjoyed the FLL thru DXB the best....... Flying over snow covered mountains and sleepy little villages nestled between them on a dark starlit night was memorable

For you, It's probably closer to always go West?

I love that as a Truck Driver you were able to hold your tongue and that you were giving her the finger.  :jest:  That makes me laugh.  On the serious side, political affiliation should not have anything to do with it.  Not sure what Political party would be good to be affiliated with right now.  None of them are that good in any way.  I feel real bad for you and Faye.  I hope that it happens for you very soon.  If you can get the NOA2 soon, it could still happen by the end of the year.  Everything moves really fast after that.  I have seen some that were less than 30 days from NOA2 date to VOH, or at least approval.  I am pulling for the two of you.

judge signed the "Journal Entry of Divorce" because it was a default judgement and held my X in contempt of court. USCIS didn't like it because it wasn't the "Divorce Decree". So I had to send them the Certificate Of Divorce from the state of Kansas.
