What is going on here lol ... did you get an invoice number? What is that for ?

No, I just got a case number...  They gave you a case number and an invoice number over the phone?  Hmmm....  Maybe someone with more knowledge about this process than me (in other words, ANYBODY) can answer that :)

Who here has k2? How do they determine if your case is k2? Situation is, my fiance has a kid from his past relationship but the kida is no longer w him anymore for about 3 years now. But we still included the child in his i-129f. Does it make it seem like a k2 for just that? The embassy gave us 2 case numbers. Same MNL but the difference is there is a 01, and 02 for the other one. I hope anybody has knowledge about it. I don't want to wind up doing something wrong for our case.

That’s what I have as well and we are doing the k2, I think you just have to make sure you don’t select them moving as well on the ds-160 and just pay for 1 visa fee and book an interview for 1 person. Definitely double check with NVC though. @_Mia_ is having the same problem.

Really pleased to see you have some progress finally!! :)

I don't know the specifics of your situation, but for ours I filled a ds-160 for the child and my fiance. I will also pay two visa fee's and medical for the child. We also have a notarized letter from the child's father giving his permission to take her to America. Aside from that ... I am not sure what else is required other than the child has to be at the interview with all other required documents. I hope that helps.

Hi @Salty2305. Good to hear from you! Thanks for answering my question. I'm quite confused right now. Maybe they thought it was a k2 case because I included his child in the i-129f. I already called the nvc and they said they can't help me with that issue because they only track the case and it was already sent in my fiances consulate. Thanks so much for the advise.

@_Mia_ what are your thoughts about this?

I see. I'm very happy for your case's progress. More power to you! We only filed for k1. I only included his child's name in the petition. I am just confused why they gave me 2 case numbers. Thanks for the reply @vcpdragon

You should be able to double check the name for the second case number to confirm that it is the child with NVC :)

You don’t actually have to submit any extra forms or documents to include a child really so I think it all depends on whether you complete the ds-160 and book the interview for them as whether they continue with the k2 visa.

Got our NVC number today. Yay! Gonna schedule medical tonight when I get on a real computer. What about scheduling interview? Attorney said wait til medical is done. Again, sorry for asking questions that have most likely already been addressed :)

First of all, congratulations!!!  It's an amazing feeling.  Not sure how it works in your location, but we had to pay the visa fee before we could get an appointment.  We needed an appointment confirmation to get the medical.  Lovely, crazy Vietnam...

Quick question everyone, do I need to take the NOA2 hard copy for the interview, or is it only for AOS etc.?  Lack of sleep due to excitement is fogging up my melon:jest:

Well, the two case numbers are similar the whole ABC0000000000 thing, it's the 01 and the 02 added to it like ABC0000000000 01, there was no difference, so it's basically the same number? Pretty much like the K2. Maybe they thought it was a K2 because I included his child's name in the petition. We do not intend K2 because the child hasn't been in his custody for years now.

Maybe I'll just pay for one person for the interview and just one medical exam. I hope @_Mia_ can help me out with this because we really have the same issue here. Thanks @Salty2305
