Hi, so I just got back from my weekend in the US and had zero problems through immigration btw. I even think this was the quickest I've ever gone through immigration. Just two questions and I was through! I have a question though and I'm kinda freaking out a bit. While I was over there we thought we'd be efficient and get stuff done and we actually filed the DS 160 :( I'm realiszing now that we shouldnt have done that until we have the NVC number and it shows ready at the embassy right?? What do we do now? Do we need to file a new one? I'm so confused...

Hi I think according your timeline you should have your NVC# by now... have you guys tried to call the NVC, if they received and it is ready they should be able to give you the NVC# and invoice ID (or something like that)

BTW: I had the feeling I read somewhere the DS160 is valid for 30 days but if you keep login the validity is extended

Hey May filers, hope everyone is doing okay and God bless! For those of you who have called NVC are you calling non-immigrant #?

Mostly April filers here, lol.  I believe that most of us called both numbers at one time or another.  For me, I got it from the Immigrant line with option 5 for Electronic.  That will only work if the Embassy is Electronic though.

Oh wow! Logging in where? I did the DS160 the minute I knew my NVC was READY and my interview is until Nov 16th, so where or how I keep it valid?

I only think you can log back in before the DS 160 is submitted, but since we submitted it we cant log in now

Well mine has already been submited and linked to my interview.

And Ive already  tried to retrieve it and it only let me print the confirmation page. Just that!

So I guess its fine.

No more worries, just going with the flowB-)

I dont see any problem, just as soon as you get your NVC, go ahead and get the appointment for your consulate interview where it has to be linked.

I called this morning and got nowhere. Oh well! Found out this letter of Impediment is gonna tack on $150 usd to our already mounting bill. Really?! $150 for someone to verify that he's never been married?! What a racket
