I need everyone's help big time :(

A piece of news on Turkish media that also is officially on the American Embassy in Turkey's webpage (although unfortunately only on the Turkish page at the moment).

I will try to translate the attached to the best of my ability:

"Explanation from the Diplomatic Mission of USA at Turkey

The latest developments have forced the USA Government to re-evaluate the safety of personnel at the Diplomatic Mission of USA at Turkey. In order to minimise the number of guests during the re-evaluation period, effective from now on, all non immigrant visa applications have been put on hold."

Furthermore, the news talk about how this period is unspecified. I have spoken to a friend who is a dual citizen, who used to work there. She told me that the decision is effective including the staff (i.e they will not be able to apply for a non-immigrant visa either).

My question is, do you think that the petition will now be on hold or will they transfer it to a different embassy?

Thanks in advance. I'm so sad...

Visa K-1 is treated as immigrant visa.

In Russia, three U.S.consulates have stopped issuing non-immigrant visas, it did not affect for K-1. As immigrant visas issued before in Moscow only, and now nothing has charged. ...well, for non-immigrant applicants were given opportunity to have an interview in the nearest European countries, at will, to reduce waiting.

...maybe this information helps you.:)

Well Rashmi's car is being delivered today. Very solid sales going on with end of model year for several manufacturers. So a CX-5 will be sitting in the garage for her return. Will be able to pick her up in her own car which is good. My little BRZ makes moving luggage tricky so kind of happy to have this off the checklist.

We had to order a car for her that was large enough for her parents to sit in the back seat when they come to visit and easy for her mother to get in and out of since she had a stroke this year and has problems with her leg still.

The BRZ will only fit a person who has no legs in the back seat, and even then they better also be extremely short. I think the rear seats are just there for insurance purposes.

Unfortunately, yes.  My fiancé spent more than 8 frustrating hours doing this for him and his sons

oh, i'm so sorry for Rashmi's mother...she must check her pressure often and take care... you  have thought it all over and are attentive to everyone, I wish you all happiness and health, of course.

Since most of you have successfully gotten through the interview/approval process, I'm hoping that you can help me with a couple of questions...

I'm putting together everything my fiancee will need to send to her and I'm a bit confused by the supporting documents for the I-134 (affidavit of support).

If I'm employed (not self-employed) do I need to include past IRS tax return transcripts and, if so, how many years?

Also, my fiancee's children were listed on the I-129f (as required) but they probably will not be joining us for 1 - 2 years; should I be listing them on the I-134 anyway?

When and where does the I-134 get submitted?

Thanks, as always, to any insight I can get on this... I thought all the tough stuff was done... LOL... silly me... :)

Someone else may be better able to answer your question about the kids, but the supporting documents for the I-134 would include things like paystubs, tax returns, W2s, a letter from your employer. For the tax returns, the last couple of years would be good! But the more years you can prove substantial income for - the better. The form and supporting documents are for the interview.

Met on 15th of October, 2014 - started dating soon after

Became separated by the Atlantic Ocean on the 11th of July, 2015

Lots of Skype, visits, and love later...

Did your fiancee's children filled as K-2? If yes, so you have to listing them in I-134 form , if they will not immigrate, you should not list them..my fiance has provided tax-return for 2016 year only.you need I-134 for intetview, all financial documents must have an original signature, black ink. We had I-134 ready after NOA1 received.

Thanks; we listed the children on the I-129f form as was required but they will, most likely, not be coming over on K-2 but later by I-130.  Thanks for the advice on the signature on all of the documents... I guess that I will have to send hard-copies instead of electronically then.  So only one year's tax return is okay?

One is typically sufficient. I went ahead and sent 3 years worth just in case (due to her medical issue). I went on the rule of better to send too much supporting documentation instead of too little. So she has a copy of a recent pay stub, 3 years tax records downloaded from the IRS, the most recent pay raise letter, my most recent health insurance plan information (because of the medical thing).

Since sending paper is cheap as long as it is all in one bundle I went with the better safe than sorry rule.
