I guess having your interview done at a newly opened embassy is a benefit! Our case went in transit on Wednesday and then disappeared from the tracker yesterday. When I did a search I got "Your search did not return any data." so I began thinking that it was probably an electronic transfer being a new embassy and all and that it had dropped between the crack of In Transit and Ready. I had planned to call and check first thing this morning but I got a photo from a jubilant fiancee at 4:30 this morning of confirmation that the embassy has received her case and scheduled her interview for October 18th. The medical is next Wednesday and the woman who yesterday was telling me that she was sure that it was going to take until December or January to get to the next step is freaking out because it's happening so quickly (like I told her it would). What a rollercoaster ride!

Excellent news!!!!  :D

Personally, I don't know what you mean by 99... But I'm not American, so I don't know if it's just me not understanding what you are asking...

Anyway, when in doubt, ask the Embassy itself... But you have a lawyer too, so he should know his business (yeah, I know... Not always the case).

If you have tax return data showing sufficient income you should be fine. I literally just sent my fiance my IRS receipt documents since I figured that would be sufficient. When in doubt always do more than requested. I am not sure what you mean by not W2 only 99, which forms are you talking about?

Also, you need to provide them with whatever documents they are asking for, but the letter of employment and paystubs showing the current income should be the more relevant ones. Taxes are for the last year and they are required mostly to show stable income, so if the current income is sufficient, then the $24,000, whatever is the document, should be fine.

Are you perhaps talking about the 1099 form when you say 99?  That would be the form if you work for yourself, etc., do not have an employer who files W2 forms.  Not sure how this works in regards to the support documents... I would think that your lawyer should/would know that information...

From my research, if you are self employed then you take your tax transcripts for the past 3 years. They will most likely look at your most recent one, but just in case. People also suggest printing out your bank statements for the past year, but that depends if your embassy is difficult or not. If you bring all of those then you should be good
