Lol. When I saw we were getting the NOA2 in the mail, Gary was sleeping. When he got up I still didn't tell him for a while and just talk on cam normally... Though I'm sure I looked like the cat that got the cream :P

I just got RFE. Not NOA2 but I'm still happy. It's movement. I cant wait to tell her.

 

What kinds of things are typically in an RFE?

I'm not going to say congrats on getting an RFE, but sure you deserve them for the positive attitude. Now we just have to get you through the finish line :)

 

Requests can be for silly things like passport pictures slightly smaller or bigger than the standard or forgotten unchecked boxes. They keep asking for more proof of meeting in person (specially passport stamps) or TOS to prove you didn't meet on a broker marriage website. Other that comes to mind is copies of divorce decree that weren't certified or the right document.

 

Good luck with getting the hardcopy soon and for it to be an easy fix... Check your copy of the package for ideas on what it might be.

Talking about cats, Jaime is going to the pet hotel tomorrow morning so Gary can flight to Spain early Saturday. I'm sad that he has to stay there for two weeks, but I'll make it up to him when back home. Mommy is coming home! :P

We got it on Tuesday evening. Now the two weeks until I can call NVC. But, the light at the end is close. I think she is planning to go to the jeweler soon for the wedding band she wants for me. Decided her rings would be from the US and she wanted mine to be from Nepal.

That's great news! Friday makes 2 weeks for us so I'm gonna call them on Monday and see where we are. Fingers crossed! I love the ring idea! When we looked at engagement rings I immediately was drawn to a carribean topaz because it meant so much to me since that's where he is from. I known it made him feel good that I wanted something from where he lives too! Plus it's so pretty! :)
