Congrats!

For the medical does St. Lukes need a copy of the NVC letter,  or just the case number? I read something on our thread last last week about them now requiring the actual copy of the letter, but can't find where its buried. TYIA :)

Yea both case number and the letter. Screenshot the ceac website saying its ready

Hi all, unsure if anyone follows my case but tomorrow will be 174 days since our NOA1 on April 11th, with no NOA2. It will also have been 6 months since April, so I'm really hoping to get some answers. Is anyone else still waiting for NOA2?

I am @ 173 days right now..seems like there are bunch of us out there.

Monica is headed for her Medical.  Hopefully she won’t have to have too many vaccinations.

No one likes needles. I'm going in for annual flu shot later this week.

Having said that I would recommend they get as many vaccines from US Embassy affiliated medical center (St. Lukes for Philippines)

As when you apply for AOS they will need to have a medical with vaccines done here in America.

If you don't have proof of vaccines from St.Lukes then the Civil Surgeon will charge you A LOT between $300 to $700 in some cases.

The shots at St. Lukes are all pre-paid with the set medical fee even if you get zero shots or five.

I've posted in the UK forum but wanted to check here as well and see if anyone had any advice.

I've seen that sometimes in the medical, people who have suffered from depression in the past have had to provide more information from their GP. Does anyone know if this might be the same for anxiety? I was diagnosed with OCD and Chronic anxiety as a teenager and now I'm worried it's going to cause problems in my medical.

I've just seen your other post while on the main page of the forum... I think you should be fine, since that kind of issues are not a potential risk to anyone else, which is what they seem to focus on when searching for all kind of illnesses (therefore the famous statement about not being a danger for yourself or others).

But yes, just an opinion, so let's see if someone with a more informed point of view can answer that. Just don't worry much about it :)

The irony of someone with anxiety worrying about having anxiety is not lost on me haha

That's kind of the logic I was hoping for but I guess I'll see on Wednesday. Thanks for your help :)

Hi!

I''ve been stressing about this so much lately too.

Basically I struggled with depression and anxiety in my teens and also SH although it was never anything really serious...I was just being a silly teenager nearly 17 years ago. I also had a time in the UK when i was a bit down. It all shows on my medical history although I was never on any meds or diagnosed with anything I want to be better safe than sorry so I have got a letter from my GP stating that I'm fine now and not a danger to myself or others. I am still a bit worried and I was thinking about not mentioning my teenage past, however you need to declare this on the medical questionnaire at Knightsbridge and they do not specifically ask for depression, they ask if you have ever suffered from a mental disorder which anxiety is. The way I see it, it's better to cover everything before hand and just be honest when you go there. A lot of people have suffered from some kind of mental health issues at least once in their life and I think they just want to ensure that you are ok now :)

Thanks for the kind words! I won't have time to go to the Doctors now unfortunately so I'm going to have to risk it and hope that it's not flagged. I've ticked yes on the form and will add a supplement page which should hopefully suffice. Good luck with your medical too! When's yours?

I think worst case, if they need additional documentation they just wont send your medical to the embassy until they get a letter from your GP so I'm sure you'll be fine :)

I've not booked mine yet as we're waiting for NVC lol. I think he's gonna try calling them today. But I just sent my ACRO off just now so we'll have to wait for that to get back as well before I can book anything.

Good luck :):)

Is it me or our house is getting more quiet lately? Of course weekends have an effect on that, but it's Monday again :D

I guess people are busy moving on with the process and taking care of things. And the ones still waiting, 5-6 months after filling, are probably not in the best mood to see others progressing.

So let's hope for a good week around here. Good luck to the ones that are having the medical this week, like @Salty2305 or their interviews, like @AnJ Co (have a great trip tonight... or tomorrow, not sure about the time), @krizia and @Y&P. Hope lots of you get your NVC# and cases moving to the Embassy, and even more NOA2'S, because... About time!

Fingers crossed :)

This would be an accurate statement at this point. When we finally get NOA2 I will probably be back. But frustration has hit a pretty high level. Pretty much ruled out Thanksgiving at this point and praying for Christmas.
