Mentioned you on a similar post in March thread, perhaps she could suggest a faster way to get to interview.  November 16 is a very long time.

Got our official NOA2 letter today (yay!), eight days after approval. Since Laguna Nigel is about an hour and a half from SD, I'm convinced it was delivered via canoe and then walked to my house by a sloth! But that means I'm 8 days into the NVC wait I guess!

Thanx for the interview review.   I been dreading that fingerprint character myself!  I have a smart mouth and I already resolved to bit my lip before even going up to that counter with Ann.  I think I'll be reserved, at least I'm going to try lol   Hopefully he is in a good mood for us, also.

 

When is your POE?  Scheduling it after VOH?

 

Ann opted for companionship at interview over the POE.  It is so far and so long, it's impossible to do both.  I'm just lucky I got others to cover my shifts for the trip.  For comparison purposes, I went ahead and bought her ticket from MNL to Miami - I found it for less than $600.  Believe it or not, I just couldn't manage to get it any lower so I bit.  I imagine yours could be less in TX.  I used ASAP tickets again.

 

Congratulations on such a speedy post NVC run through the embassy, PH embassy sure is FAST but we won't tell @Estibaliz   

 

 

 

No definite date at this point, as there are still a bunch of variables.  However, we are shooting for just before Thanksgiving.

I believe I read that sometimes US Embassy in Manila with do their own NBI check as well have you heard of that?

Glad you are at the finishing line there.

 

This was our experience, and hard to say if they are consistent.  I've been told that this hasn't been an issue in the past, but you might want to error on the side of caution.

 

No idea if the embassy does that check.  My guess is that it is doubtful.

I know still better safe than sorry to have it. Oh and all the RFE's for updated letter of intents which they never asked for. We are like circus animals jumping through hoops for their amusement ha!

Bet we are all picturing now the sloths at the DMV on 'Zootopia' 

Always great and relieving to get the NOA2 hardcopy since that's such an important document for AOS later on

Our NOA 1 is dated May 4th. It hasn't been updated since May 10th. But other May filers are already being approved..some who have called immigration..even though it says to wait 6 months. Should we call immigration to ask about our application?

They probably mailed it to New Hampshire first then sent it all the way back to you in SD. That or delivery via snail.
