and when did you get your NVC number? last week? we are 12/4 NOA2, still no NVC number

We called the USCIS & were told our petition had been mailed on the 6th week. Once our case reached the nvc they told us to call the following week as they had not yet added it onto the system with a new case number.. So we decided to call on Tuesday (this week) and got the nvc number.

Has your case left uscis?

hello everyone! Congratulations to all who are now in their loved ones and to those making progress. Anyway, is there anyone here who have done the medical in st. Lukes? did you really have the hardcopy of eligibility letter (letter containing beneficiary's full name and manila case number) during the medical exam? Is that doc mandatory?.. I don't have that letter yet but I have my mcn and invoice number. I wanted to set date for medical already and interview but didn't because of this concern.

We bothered USCIS (tier 2) a couple of times as the 6 week mark had passed. A service request was made over the phone and the NVC had our case the following week.

Hope that helps :)

Really? We've done the same and even asked for the case to be forwarded to NVC again as well as a expedite request... Still nothing. We are given until Jan 29 to wait.

In layman's terms, after you get married the immigration status changes into sort of a "no-mans" status.  The immigrant is no longer a fiancé(e) nor a fully legal resident at that point.     During this weird transition up to getting EAD or AOS, Social Security (according to policy) really can't help you.  But most definitely get a SS number before marriage, it makes things so much easier.

So here are my check lists for the different forms. As you'll see, I only sent my birth certificate for the main AOS application, and I didn't send any originals, always copies, as advised.
