Hi everyone,

April filer here!

Congrats to those who are finally with their loved ones and those who are making progress. :)  I've been following this thread for a while and I'm glad to say we've reached the nvc stage! I received my nvc case # and invoice ID... I was wondering if I could get some advice on what to do next?

Thank you!

@A&Fia Once you get NVC number you can see the status of your case on ceac website. Chose immigrant Visa. Heres the link :

When the status at CEAC is "ready", normally you will get email from the embassy, you can schedule the medical check up, submit DS160 and schedule the interview.

For the moment you can start gathering all documents you need to bring for interview, filled up DS160 and save before you submit it.

Hey everyone I attended my Interview last Wednesday (January 10) and was approved! Yay!  Unfortunately when I scheduled I asked if my 10 year old son needed to be at the interview, and was told that I just needed to bring his documents for his K2 visa.  At the interview I was told that he needed to be there to be approved, so he needs to still make that trip to Montreal (I asked if we could take him to Calgary, or possibly a video chat, but they still want him in Montreal).  SO! Moral of the story! Do NOT take advice from the help line!  Papers say the interview is for both people, both people need to attend.

Online it says that my visa is still administratively processing, its been a week!  How long before you saw the tracking number? Did they call or notify you the visa is on the way?  Im getting impatient!  I am more then ready after all this to get to my fiance and start our life.  At least the next leg of the journey we can be together and don't need to mail documents back and forth.

Hi there, can anyone help me out from this thread?

May filer but no one has helped there, what is my alien registration number on DS-160 form? Is it on my noa2?

Also what is my case Id number and priority date on the MRV payment section?

any help would be much appreciated 😀

If you havent recieved your Alien registration number yet, dont sweat it.  I first saw mine on the I 129F when they sent  me a copy of it with my packet 3. (I sent in my DS-160 weeks before I saw packet 3)

Hi April filers! I'm a June filers and have a question and just want your perspectives. My fiancée has her interview scheduled early February, and after the initial excitement (we somehow jumped a few hoops) we both are starting to worry we won't get accepted. We don't have a real concrete reason for the anxiety considering our circumstances (similar ages, lots of time in person, shared languages etc) but I guess it's just simple anxiety. So my question to you is is this a normal feeling, an initial excitement later replaced with worry and fear? I hope so because I don't like this feeling. I would appreciate your inputs!!

Haha  its very normal.  The morning of my interview my very loving fiance told me (if you this up the relationship is over)  i should point out Im 6 months pregnant with his child.  The interview went great, everyone at the embassy was very very friendly.  I nearly puked on the bus on my way to the interview.  Its on of those things that has your entire life on the line.  I was crazy over prepared.  Id still over prepare if I had to do it again, and I will with the next application process.

ChinaSandeep my file reached NVC on Friday. I found that after I called them. I still have not got email or anything from them. But, they gave me a case number. But when I try to track the case it says case not found. I called them and they said the file is in administrative processing. How many days did you have to wait before they send it to Embassy. Did you get any email from NVC once the file reach there? If yes after how many days?

After my application went to the NVC and I had received the MTL number, when I looked it up it said "Case Not Found" for weeks!  Made me very nervous! and there isnt a phone number at this point in the process that you can call and inquire about.  However I made it! I am approved!

Haha okay, thank you for your input! I feel now like 'no way will she get it, it's huge and I've waited forever and and and.' But really our case should be straightforward so there's no logical reason to think that.

We bothered USCIS (tier 2) a couple of times as the 6 week mark had passed. A service request was made over the phone and the NVC had our case the following week.

Hope that helps :)
