That was my concern but I have read that other people (I was particularly looking for Californians) did it without any problems.  I guess we'll try and see what happens.  His POE is Tuesday and Thursday (and most likely Friday) are holidays so we only have 4 working days after before we get married.  I guess we'll see how quickly our info get to the SS Office!  :)

Well, I arrived on a Friday and went to the SS on Monday. I'm still waiting for my card but called yesterday and they said it's on its way... So yes, the system can take a bit for them to update, but the i94 is almost an instant thing so I didn't have to go back to their office. It can work for you two :)

I am so jealous.  Congratulations on making it through the USCIS/NVC gauntlet.  Please let us know how it goes!

Thanks!  We were very lucky that once we got our NOA2 things moved quickly... So quickly that once he got his visa we waited a couple weeks before POE so he could get his affairs in order at home.  Needless to say, I was anxious for him to get here, but I totally get it... I don't think I would have been ready to go that quickly either!

Well, her status updated on CEAC today so hopefully they send her an e-mail to pickup the visa tomorrow/today for her. Beyond that, so far she thinks everything she has will fit in the luggage and be under weight. Unfortunately she has two more weeks until POE to fix that.

hahaha that's amazing. Yeah, dealing with luggage weight and size constraints can cause so much stress. I think that excitement will probably overpower any negative concerns like that, though!

Hello everyone!

I've been super busy with real life lately so I've been dying missing all you lovely people. Super huge update: Interview and approval happened on the 9th!!! Sam wrote a wonderful retelling of his experience and embassy review that you can read on our timeline if so inclined.

Anyway, I've now begun checking the CEAC tracker religiously. Yesterday is was in "Administrative Processing" and today it changed to "Ready"... that seems a bit strange to me? Any idea what this could mean?

<3 s to all!

I had my interview at the UK embassy on the 9th as well and today CEAC went from AP to ready. Apparently from what I’ve ready it will go from immigration to non-immigration then to issued so hopefully we’ll get it soon 😊

Hello everybody! I'm a May filer and was approved October 14th, I called the NVC today and got my case number but was informed that I was in AP. I didn't know that was an issue for a K1 at the NVC stage of this process... Did anyone in this thread experience this and if so how long?

I was told the same thing. I asked if it was security related and the gentleman said no it was just a procedural thing. That someone needed to pick up my file and scan/prepare it. Three days later my file was in transit to the consulate. I've seen some other people's take longer when it's a "random" security check though.

Hi there, yes I am in same boat !

may 5th Noa1, October 6th noa2, NVC received Oct 19th , we were lucky and got a case number then,  just called again now and still in AP. They told me it can be there for as long as they want ! So upsetting, I thought this was meant to be the easier part but it's just as worse as the Noa2 wait !

Been nearly 4 weeks since number !

Ive read it can be stuck in AP for months !

Thank you my friend.  We are still waiting.  They have not received the PC yet.  Could be another week before they get it.  So it is looking like we are going to have to push her flight again.  Not happy about it.

I am very happy for you and all the others that are getting to the POE stage or have gotten through it.

For those that are still waiting, I hope you get your NOA2 soon and speed through the rest of it.
