So me and my fiance were sent an RFE on the 3rd of Oct. We have replied and sent back (we checked and it was signed for on the 23rd). Does anyone know what the rough timeline is for a reply after an RFE?

There are still people that are awaiting their NOA2.  If someone has not been on the forum in a long time, then either they just don't get on it or they got their NOA2 and didn't update.  On the 'case received', are you talking about on the USCIS case tracker?  If so, then I can only speak for us, we do show as approved on there, but I have heard that others that have gotten their NOA2 still show as case received.

That I understand, and that is my point. We all are in agreement that USCIS does not update their website enough. Sometimes they do not at all, perfect example s or friend here @spike198 who got approved and never updated on website, hence it does not show up in any scans we run daily.

Again, we would like to know how many of you guys

- never heard anything - case shows "received"

- Had an RFE and are still waiting

Please help us, it means a lot for our calculations. Thank you all !

Ugh that is so frustrating.. We sent our I-129f mid April and we're only at this stage.. Such a frustrating farce to have more delays

The typical seems to be 2-4 weeks. About the only bright spot is that based on everything here the UK Embassy seems to be pretty efficient once you get to that stage.

Hello Everyone! My fiance had her interview yesterday - October 27 6:40 AM at USEM and we got approved! :dancing:

I was with her during the entire process and I was also asked a few questions by both Filipino and American consuls. Everything went very smooth! They did not even ask for the affidavit of support or pictures. All those stressful nights and torturous wait just disappeared. :P

A warm thank you to everyone here for all your guidance and support. May we all have a blessed and happy journey ahead! :)

Can you share what they asked then?

Hi all. A few people have been asking after me. Today marks 199 days since NOA1, with no NOA2. It's been over 6 months since the case was filed (April 11th), so we called USCIS. A Tier 2 called us back after 5 days, and told us that there's nothing they can do until their case tracker (currently April 1st) shows they're done processing April. Feeling very helpless, as this was the planned time for me to be moving. Is anyone else here still waiting? If so, I am sorry.

@S*UK @June2017UK @BeatrixV and more, thanks for thinking of me.

  • 04/11/2017 - I-129F Received - NOA1
  • 11/14/2017 - NOID
  • 12/05/2017 - Response to NOID received
  • 12/19/2017 - NOA2
  • 01/23/2018 - NVC received and given number
  • 02/01/2018 - Left NVC
  • 02/08/2018 - Consulate received
  • 02/12/2018 - Medical
  • 02/23/2018 - Interview - G22A: new passport requested due to name error
  • 06/03/2018 - New passport sent back to US Embassy
  • 14/03/2018 - Visa in hand
  • 15/03/2018 - POE (LAX, CA)

No effect.  Just file your change of address if you move after filing the AOS.  If moving prior to AOS filing, then the new address goes on your petitions

Have you tried using your senator yet?  There is no reason why it should be taking this long!  I got my NOA2 about 2 weeks after contacting my senator.  Coincidence?  Maybe, but it's worth a shot.  I'll be praying for you!

Awww, thank you :)

I'm still somehow around, but my mind is somewhere else, I guess... Thanks to you and the rest of the Aprilites for all the good times, that are not over yet. We'll be pushing for everyone still waiting till the very end

You have more important things to worry about now we are all sure. It's just the nature of things, time moves on and different things take importance.  :)    So don't feel bad about continuing your journey.  I hear there is a top notch Hamburger Place famous for their soft ice cream cones in Bountiful called Paces Dairy Ann, go check it out!
