Don't request, demand to speak to a Tier 2.  It has been too long already.

Yes you can call and just request talking to Tier 2. The other trick is you can ask the tier 1 if the background checks have been completed. They can't answer that and have to bump it to tier 2. Easy way if you aren't the type that likes to be pushy with people. I would wait until tomorrow afternoon to do so though. I typically called around 5-6pm EST.

Ok I will call. Thanks for the help. This has been a long process, and starting to become quite difficult, I haven't seen my Fiance in months. But luckily we talk on the phone every day when I finish working. She's anxious to finish with this whole visa process and get here, as am I.

Just called, the Tier 1 officer couldn't give me any information about the background check so I requested to talk to a Tier 2 officer and she said that "they stopped doing transfers" her exact words. I told her about my situation and how long I have been waiting and then she said that is all the information she has (just the update on the RFE received on the 17th) and asked if there was something else she could help me with. So I guess I will have to wait another week and see what happens.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to check in and say that I’m writing this from NC!

POE went absolutely fine, we landed an hour early and the sun was shining when we got here! Spent the weekend working on our house which Matt has been remodelling and tomorrow we are going to enrol Mason in school! For all of those still waiting, stay positive! It will all be worth it once you are reunited with your loved one

Congratulations to both of you!!!! Anyone going through this agonizing process knows that their happiness is well-deserved, if not well-earned... lol.  So very happy for you!!!  :D

Yes. we requested to expedite our case. It says that they sent a response and it was completed. What does this mean? The response was sent last Oct. 26.

Did you expedite for one of the listed expedite reasons?

I received an expedite last year for my I-601.

You should be getting a response about the expedite approval or denial.  You can also call in and speak work tier 2, they'll let you know.

They usually don't transfer this late in the day because of the wait time.  Call back in the morning!

That's strange cause I got to a Tier 2 officer today about my expedite case..

Visa approved! Was surprisingly fast and quick...The Consule was asking questions fast! But those were very easy questions...Even did not have to wait long but I think it was because I booked the interview much earlier and there were not so many people ... so all good :)
And they did not look at a single pic and I had over 80!

Congratulations !!!:)

Yeah, must have been too late in the day then. Try calling back a little earlier today and they will let you talk to Tier 2. It wasn't a stopped doing transfers completely, probably just after the cutoff time for them to do so for the day.

Congrats @AnJ Co that sounds like the perfect POE and I'm so happy to hear you made it to the end! Also about the visa still being intact because I wanted to keep mine as a souvenir of the process haha. Maybe one day I'll be able to show my kids.

@Salty2305 congrats on your POE! I'm so jealous right now. Can't wait to be in NC for Christmas. Did you write a review of your POE at charlotte? I know it's not gonna be the same as Raleigh but may give me an idea of what to expect in NC in general.

I don't really have an update...

Still patiently waiting here until my flight in 3 weeks time. I have two weeks left at work and then a week to say goodbye. Collin and I will be spending thanksgiving with his family in his hometown in northern VA. Then we have a vacation planned for my birthday in December. We will be in NC for some of Christmas and VA for the rest. Then our 4th new year together and our 3rd actually spent in person. Im so excited now and can't wait to update you all on my POE.

Until then, good luck to all of you with your POE, interviews, medical and of course those still waiting on NOA2 especially those still waiting from the first two weeks of April!
