Thank you! Happy too... although a bit jet lagged yet and had been crazy busy with unpacking and all that stuff, like getting me an American phone number :)

I don't really have a POE picture, since Gary was travelling with me, but here's what I have...

Jaime was so happy to be back at home, since he stayed on the animal hospital while Gary was in Spain :D

Yep, green it is. It's not really a wedding dress, just a party dress, so dark green. I have a couple of pictures, but not showing yet :P

However, here's a picture of the photo shoot we had in Spain before leaving. We just got a preview so far, but looks like it's going to be a bunch of nice pictures to add to our memorabilia :)

My POE went smoothly. Dallas seems to be a good POE, since people were aware of how a K1 works and all of them were really polite and nice. Of course, having Gary there with me might have helped a bit :)

I'll add the review on my profile soon, but the only thing that comes to mind right now, since we were talking about it before with @S*UK, is the fact they didn't want my X-Rays sealed in the envelope when I handed it over with the K1 visa package. The immigration officer said they didn't need it and just to keep it for my records. Of course I'll do that in case they might ask for it while AOSing (since we know they sometimes lose things and stuff :P).

Congratulations!  So happy for you and Gary to be together here. Hopefully Tuyen will be here next month.  Did they send you electronic notification when your visa was issued?

You make your own appointment online and pay the fee. Once you make the appointment you'll get an email confirming it's paid, the day of the appointment, etc. Your fiancé should print it and take it to medical. Not sure if an actual letter ever gets sent.. packet 3 was sent to us via email

what did your packet 3 contain in the email? my fiance called Andrews memorial and asked if he doesn't receive the instructions packet how can he do the medical with out the appointment letter from the embassy. they told him he can not do his medical with out that appointment letter? So the appointment letter is the one you get from the one you make online, so say i go online and make the appointment online they then send the packet 3 through email?

for beneficiary :

look for IOM  in Jamaica...go to their website, you will see full information and get medical appointment asap.do not forget, at the medical they must provide you ds3025 form Vaccination Documentation Worksheet. you will provide this form at the POE, when border contcol will take photo and fingerprints of you.

whats a POE is what you say referring to Jamaica as well?

Not sure if this is what you were asking but POE stand for Point Of Entry. It is the place where the immigration checks will take place with your visa (usually the first airport you land at in the US).

A few hours after my visa was issued I got emails from both the Embassy and the postal service with my tracking number.

Hope Tuyen can be here soon too :)

my fiance and I are stuck on the ds-160 form, it asks for his employment history. his passport states hes a constriction worker but he worked under the table, he has no proof hes actually a construction worker, he also does not have the name or company name of the construction site he use to work so we have no information to put down for employment history, what do we do since his passport says he is a construction worker? will it look bad that he has no employment history he is only 20 years old.

So the appointment letter is the one you get from the one you make online, so say i go online and make the appointment online they then send the packet 3 through email?

Once you get your number from the NVC you make your appointment for the interview (all done online). You'll get an email after you make it with all the info (date, time, proof you paid, etc). You then call to make your medical appointment. Make sure to leave a bit of a gap (they suggest 2 weeks) between the medical and the interview so your paperwork makes it to the embassy. When your fiancé goes for his medical, he needs to bring the email from the embassy. In addition, I had my fiancé bring proof of our NVC number, although I don't know if he needed it as you can't make your interview appointment  without it. We did this before we recieved the packet 3 instructions because we knew what was in packet 3. It's just basically a letter (it's totally generic so you can easily find it online) and it tells you what you need to do from here on out like obtain police record, letter of Impediment or marriage, interview appointment, ds160, medical, etc. It also tells you what to bring to your interview.

You will need to have packet 3 before the interview because it means you're case is at the embassy. Since we hadn't recieved it, we made the appointments anyway, knowing we may need to push the dates back if we didn't hear from them. It took 1

day to get from NVC to the embassy
