Congrats Sarah, when did you send your Evidence package back to CSC? When did they receive it? What the tracker was showing? We are eagerly waiting...

Ok, so we called USCIS on September 11 and they told us we got an RFE. Bummer.

On September 12, the case tracker udpated, confirming that they mailed a request for additional evidence. After 2 weeks, we still hadn't received a letter, and after calling USCIS 2-3 times and requesting that they resend the RFE (which they didn't), my boyfriend contacted his congressman who was super helpful and nice. He contacted USCIS directly and attached the scanned RFE in his email on October 3. The only problem was that my bf's picture was too big. -___- So he got a new photograph and sent it via overnight express and DHL sent me a confirmation that CSC received our letter on October 4.

And today, the case tracker updated, with confetti raining down on my screen. No kidding.

 

Can you track your RFE response? They received ours the very next morning.

Our package was received on Oct 7th, but tracker updated on 13th to Response received... I hope we are close enough

Ditto @Yu&M advice.  See page 77 of this thread.  You have 3 options, and one option has to be done quickly to try to salvage your K1.  Try to keep it at the embassy and delay it getting sent back to USCIS.  After it is sent back, it is a long process.  Good luck to you

Hello there!

 

I just wanted to update everyone! I'm writing in a much happier mood than yesterday! We got an email response from the NVC with our new case number in it! They were responding to my email trying to correct Sam's birthday. They didn't fix it but the new case number was in the email so mission mostly accomplished as far as I'm conceded! He's calling first thing tomorrow to make his medical appointment. CEAC says In Transit so our case should be in London soon!! I'm so glad this latest roadblock has been overcome. 

 

@AnJ Co you totally called it that we might get our number today! Thanks so much also to @Estibaliz and @Yzabelle for all the encouragement and help!

He needs to sign the tax return when he files (even if digital signature).  If he never had a tax return he may have some serious challenges ahead.  He can get copies of tax transcripts from the IRS.  My guess is he filed but didn't realize that what he filed was the 1040.
