I agree.  There is a lot of "cutting" in the Philippines.  The medical looks closely at that and the reason for the annulment, if there was one.  There is psychological testing that takes place on top of the physical tests.

I wonder if this is standard everywhere else.  I’m guessing probably, but importance and enforcement emphasis may vary from place to place.

Finally done.

I assume they all have to follow the same protocols but have some leeway in how things are implemented.  For some reason cutting is so common that they check the arms for scars on anyone that raised a red flag during the exam.

I assume that every country has their own little nuance that is checked out.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

Guys, I have a question and think that maybe you guys can help me. I thought I had the answer before but now that we're filling I-134 I don't know anymore lol

So, my fiancé has two kids from his previous marriage, and he has only 33% of custody. His ex wife declare them on taxes, so they are not his dependents on taxes, and he pays child support.

My question is: are the kids his dependents for this form? Wholly? Partially? Will they check gross income or after taxes?

cause if its gross then we should be fine even if they consider the 4 of us, but after taxes then we will be just about it (and i dont like to be just about it lol)

thanks guys!

The Feds only care what is on the 1040 tax return.

Congratulations! Any chance you could share the questions they've asked her?

Sure. The CO started off by asking her the infamous (lol not really) how we met. Then he asked what I do for a job. He asked about where we will live and then also if we're ready to be married. We're both young. I'm 23 and she's 22. By the end they were joking and laughing and talking about where we went to school. All in all I think she thought it was a very pleasant experience.

Disclaimer...I very heavily front-loaded the file though, so that probably helped her out a bit. Anyone else have experience with front-loading or not that can speak to if it makes a difference?

Hello all,

Been lurking here here for some time. Congrats to all April filers who have received their NOA 2 and those who haven't .......... hang in there !

Received our NOA 2 on 9/20/17 , with an approval date of 9/16/17. Our DS 160 is basically done.....

How do I track our case from here ? I called the nvc today and received the standard 6 week spiel for our case number etc.

Very little in life I find stressful......... but this is working my last nerve.

Im hoping we can get married on 12-14-17, but not sure if that's realistic ?

It is doable, everything from here on moves very fast. The Philippines moves really fast. Once you get your MNL# you can get it all done quickly.  As long as you can schedule the interview on any day then you have lots of options.
