Hi friends, I have a question about the Affidavit of Support. My friend is bringing her husband and needed an affidavit of support for him from her sister but her sister already did one for her husband about 1 1/2 year ago. Can her sister still do the affidavit of support for her and add her husband on there since they filed taxes last year together. I know its so confusing but what happened is that they gave him an affidavit already from someone else but when the husband got to Djibouti for his interview they said he needs another support. Her sister was worried that it wont work especially if she just did one that soon.

She can do as many i864's as she likes as long as she makes enough money. She has to enter on the new i864 that she sponsored her husband before so if she makes enough for her household plus 1 (which would be 3 if there are no kids) then they are fine.
