Good evening everyone:

 

I finally found this thread just an update on our case. Fiancée had medical exam in Taiwan on September 12, interview on September 25,  Visa was finally issued in October 6. She returned to the Phillipines on October 25. Now just waiting for point of entry on January 2 at LAX and wedding on February 14 followed by adjustment of status. Will go ahead and file for both work permit and green card concurrently. And to top it off today November 23 is her bday. I never thought this was going to get done in Taiwan. Thank you all for the advice you have given me...😇

Dont know if anyone still comes on here...but wanted to let you guys know...he did the medical and we submitted our ds160 we are now waiting for an interview date, croatia gives you the appt. they arent busy at all so hopefully it will be end of next week...he is officially ready to come and excited....I am almost at the home stretch.....

Happy new year to all!

 

Glad to see lot of great updates from everyone on their K1 process and then immigration process. The waiting was sure daunting and I am so glad we are now passed that K1 stage but the process is still not done. So no matter which stage you are at, you will have some kind of waiting to go through. 

 

Today I got my Employment Approval notice so now I am kind of relieved as I can start working on finding a job. The EAD will be mailed to me separately. The K1 process does put you and your spouse,maybe even your families, in a tough spot financially.  Luckily our situation is not that bad but being able to work will help a lot to get settled in.  So I am very excited!

Congrats!! Pretty dress! AOS isn't too bad.  I have my work permit already but I think I'll be waiting awhile for my green card (Dallas office).
