I hope that as well!

I haven't even thought of the possibility of getting a RFE for tax 2017. Blegh, I don't want that! :)

I would hope they wouldn't be requesting tax information after the fact just because they are processing so late!

After all I think we actually goofed on my initial AOS application, so it wasn't considered a complete copy of tax returns. So y'all should be okay if you did everything they asked for!

I don't think they'd be that brutal to ask for newer returns just because they didn't open our application envelopes until now lol Sorry for making you guys a bit worried.

Well how long do they take to send someone an rfe. If your status says "ready to schedule interview" do rfe come before or after that status?

I am a little worried as we didnt submit 3 years of taxes we only submitted 1..but there was a part that asked for 3 years of #s and I assumed since we were only submitting 1 year we didnt have to write out 3 yrs of taxes but who knows.

My status never changed to "ready to schedule interview". It went from "We received your application on Dec. 1" to "We've sent you an RFE"

I just read the sponsor form instructions again today, and it said you only need to submit the most recent one. But if you think submitting the last 3 years worth of tax returns would help your case, you can submit 3 years worth.

Ya I read that too so we only submitted 1. But than there is a spot on the form that says to write down all 3 and I only wrote down 1 because it's all that mattered so hopefully we are okay we havnt received an rfe and our status is at ready to schedule so I'm sure it will be okay. Thanks !

hopefully you’ll get an update soon, too!

Hey Yzabelle !

I wanted to mention to you. If you or your husband are ever looking for a home to buy or even rent (in chicago and area) feel free to contact me as I am now a realtor in chicago!. I am on Instagram as mfrausto_berkshire_hathaway aswell if you want to follow. It would be so cool to work with clients who have been through the same process as I have been and may be beneficial to you in the end. Keep me in mind ! And let your friends know ! You can also get my info on http://marzenafrausto.koenigrubloff.com/

I just thought i would throw that out there considering you live in chicago! And may eventually want a new home together.

Otherwise how is everything going?

Good morning everyone!

Good news from Philly - yesterday (May 5th) got my letter from USCIS with invitation on interview on June 6th. Actually I got 6 of them, all the same.

Notice day - April 29th, sent by mail on May 2nd.

Just in time as tomorrow is my birthday - one of the best present this year!

No reply on EAD or AP.

Wish you to receive yours as soonest!

And have a happy Sunday.

Congrats oh that is gonna make those from that office that are still waiting from last year a bit more upset. I am super happy for you. :)

Still no news here but I honestly do not expect anything. My husband can barely work now so if I can't work soon we will be on the streets but hey that is the way it goes sometimes right. His health is really not good. We have a doctors appointment on the 17th to hopefully get some answers for him.

Happy birthday!!! So happy to see things are moving along!

Hopefully you receive your EAD/AP soon as well.

Let us know how the interview goes! Does it say both you and your husband have to appear for the interview?

Definitely call USCIS and get it expedited. Doesn’t cost anything. Worth a try I know your situation fits the criteria to have it expedited. Just show them proof and set up an interview as well

Why didn't or why don't you file expedite for financial hardship? Your reasons are more than legit, they should expedite you in a heartbeat.
If I was you I would have done that long ago!

Try! It cant hurt!

I'm going to agree with @TearsOfBabylon @FutureMrsBennett and @mytruelove18. Try to expedite. There is no harm in trying.

@pajobra

My only concern would be that whatever you disclose about your husband and your reasons to expedite your ead will be on record and your husband is your sponsor so if this is a temporary thing where he can not support you I would expedite & chose your words wisely..

.but your ead should be here by June anyways as you will be approaching 5 months. Expediting may work but it may only be shortly prior to your ead coming so since you didnt do this a while back it may not save tons of time but may still be worth trying???

If this issue with your husbands health is something long term and he will be out if work and you wont be able to prove your financial situation at your aos interview than I would make sure you have a sponsor ready (sorry i cant remember if you originally had a sponsor or not)..

I could be so wrong but it's just my opinion.. good luck

What you just said is why I do not want to say anything. I have no one to sponsor me besides him.  I love my husband so much and I am hoping we can find some answers. He has been really good these past few days but we changed his high blood pressure meds a few days ago and are wondering if that has something to do with his problems. He is taking half of what he was now and he seems to be doing much better even gut wise. Meds have sooo many side effects that all are not known.

Yeah I am hoping it comes in the next few weeks. I guess what I make won't matter cause I need a sponsor. So maybe I should say bye to you all now. :( Scuse me while I go cry because n ow you made me realize I probably will have to leave my husband behind but I don't want to I love him with all my heart and soul. These medical issues are new. I am hoping we can find answers. I really really hope but now I am crying too hard to type. Thanks Marzena now I feel sick and sad and sigh
