Ok.. We sent the AOS packet last Wednesday. That was 21st February 2018. Based on USPS tracking, it was delivered on the 24th. So far, we have not heard anything from USCIS. Not even an E-Notifcation of Application/Petition Acceptance (G-1145). What's the usual timeframe for this?

Also, when I sent the AOS packet, I have not received my Social Security Card. I received that yesterday. Should I update USCIS with the info? If so, how could I do that?

Not sure if AOS is the same, but I got my text/e-mail for my I-129F delivered on the 23rd and picked up on the 24th on Wed., so 3 business days after someone signed for it. 3-4 days seems to be the norm right now for e-notification.

I think we are still adjusting but we'll be fine. I'm tired of being stuck at home but I'm going to continue studying soon, so I won't have time to be bored:)

So smart!

I did the same and ended up getting my real estate license ! i would have just been at home twiddling my thumbs but its a great use of time to learn something new!!!

@TearsOfBabylon

We have the same biometrics date!

I am still waiting on my EAD aswell

Did your case tracker update at all after your biometrics ?

Oh nice! :)

No, nothing changed. AOS is on "Fingerprint Fee Received" and EAD and AP are on "Case Received".

My timeline here on VJ just got pushed back further today. AP is now in middle of April, while EAD stuck at end of March. I'm curious if that will be any kind of close to my real date.

Congrats on your real estate license, btw! :)

Jan 31 the i485 status changed to ready to schedule an interview. I got all excited but apparently that just means they sent my documents to my local office and it can stay in that status for a while but who knows.

Correct she didn't expedite.

And thank you!!!

Wow, no expedite IS crazy!
Although I even read of people who got bumped straight to the GC before the EAD/AP even arrived.
I guess that's a roulette game!

Hm, yeah I read about that a lot. Can stay like this for months :(
How far behind is your local office?
Mine should be in May 2017 right now lol
Might take a while!
Edit: Just calculated... if it stays like this they will reach December 2017 in September, so I'm kind of MAYBE due between end of September and mid October.

Interesting I am only in time line a week or so of from you guys but my Notice date is Jan 2nd. Mind you my biometrics was the 25th of Jan so not far off yours.

My husband and I had a good talk with his retinologist and have decided to keep doing eye injections at least one more time before doing the laser. Financially we just can not afford to do the laser at this time. With Chris' health issues he has been missing a lot of work. Last paycheque had 59 hours instead of his normal 80 plus. :( I am praying that EAD comes quick. We both know we will make it but it is hard. Especially because stress is what is flaring my husbands health right now. We have his diet under control and now its controlling the stress. I made him unfollow his ex wife on facebook because that is a gong show and he is hurting watching his kids not get their needs met. Technically they are not his kids since he let the new husband formally adopt them but biologically they are still his and the three youngest message him almost daily. :)

Hi, everyone! We just submitted our AOS packet today! :)) So happy that I finally get to complete and submit it.. now, waiting time begins :))

Wow, you are a march filer again :)     Good to see you are doing well!

Life got really really fast for us, we had to set up a new address after we changed jobs and moved.  Just getting our breath after so busy for 4 months.  Filing AOS in a couple of weeks, just got started working on it.  Looks like we will join the Marchies in AOS again this year!
